Study On The Chinese Traditional Artisan Proverbs

Proverbs are originated in the productive labor,generate before the time of characters and have features of phonetic harmony,popularity and conciseness as well as abundant connotations.Traditional artisans are workers who are engaged in the traditional handicraft production or make use of their craft and expertise to serve people's production and living in the history of our country and are the important forces for the continuous development of productivity throughout the history of our country.Chinese traditional artisan proverbs are the important way for Chinese traditional artisans to describe their life and pass their experience.They contain the deep national and record the production and life practice of traditional artisans at the same time.At present,the researches on traditional artisans are mainly on the discussion about the contents of "artisan spirit" and its application in modern enterprises and there are no achievements from researches on the classification of traditional artisan proverbs from the perspective of linguistics and exploration of the internal relations between such proverbs and national culture.Language carries the national culture and embodies the thinking modes and value concepts of a nation.It is of great significance to study the traditional Chinese artisan proverbs for exploring the production methods,living conditions,value concepts,custom and faith,ways of behaving and moral conceptions of traditional artisans in China.This paper has the comprehensive application of the cultural linguistics research method,makes a semantic analysis of Chinese traditional artisan proverbs according to three categories of construction industry,manufacturing industry and service industry and reveals their profound backgrounds of national culture and the deep national culture connotations contained in them.Various rhetoric techniques are widely applied in the Chinese traditional artisan proverbs and this paper analyzes the rhetorical features of such proverbs from the perspective of grammatical functions so as to explore the thinking mode and aesthetic implication of the Han nationality.
