Translation Of Chinese Traditional Proverbs From The Perspective Of Cultural Translation

Proverbs are short and concise phrases that are widely circulated among the people,most of which reflect the working experience of the working people,and are usually handed down orally.It is an easy to understand short sentence or rhyme,which is a part of Chinese excellent language culture.The concept of cultural translation emphasizes that translation focuses on cultural exchanges,culture is the first,and information is the second.From this perspective,it is of great benefit to study the translation of proverbs to promote the exchange of Chinese and Western cultures.With the continuous improvement of China's international status,cultural going out is the strategic choice to deal with the historical trend of globalization.While traditional culture is the soul of a country and a nation,the development of culture is closely related to the development of national politics and economy.We need to constantly enrich and develop Chinese language,and strengthen the research on the essence of Chinese language--proverbs,so as to inherit and carry forward the traditional Chinese culture.The translation of proverbs is not only the translation of words,but also the output of culture.Therefore,the study of proverbs based on cross-cultural perspective needs to be deepened constantly to make up for the current situation of inadequate research on the translation strategy of proverbs.The paper summarizes the concept,connotation,characteristics and classification of traditional Chinese proverbs,discusses the impact of cultural translation concepts on the translation of proverbs.With the view of cultural translation,from two aspects of the surface culture and deep culture studies Chinese traditional proverbs translation methods.
