Study On The Proverbs Related To The 24 Solar Terms

Language is the carrier of culture and the record of cultural symbol system.The 24 solar proverbs is an important part of traditional Chinese culture,embodying the experience and wisdom of the Chinese nation.The studies on the 24 solar terms were started by Chinese scholars in early times which have achieved a great number of research results,however,most of them just focused on agricultural cultivation,weather forecasting,and folk customs.It is obvious that there are few studies in the perspective of the proverb to twenty-four solar terms.Thus,it is necessary to study the 24 solar proverbs.In this paper,the object of study is the twenty-four solar proverb,and the study of cultural linguistics is used to classify the 24 solar terms,and then explains the 24 solar terms comprehensively.By indicating traditional cultural connotation of the 24 solar proverbs,the Han people’s way of thinking,values,social customs and psychological status and other characteristics would be understood better.
