The Translation Report On Are You An Ostrich Or A Llama (Chapter 4)

This project is a report on the translation of Chapter four of the book,Are you an Ostrich or A Llama.The source text of the translation project mainly introduces the operations and human resources of the hotel.Combined with specific examples,the author tries to explain the relevant aspects of the knowledge forreadersclearly.In accordance with the three principles of Skopos theory,theauthorusesthe literal translation,liberal translation and the relevant translation skills—conversion,inversion and division during the translation process in order to achieve and improve the accuracy and the communicationof information in the translation process.This report is divided into five parts: introduction,projectintroduction,text description,case analysis and conclusion.The author analyzes the skopos theory,namely skopos rule,coherence rule and fidelity rule through the actual cases.With the integrated use of translation techniques,the author hopes to deepen the understanding of the original text,improve the quality of translation to bring some help to the translation practice and research of business information on this field.
