A Report On News Translation Of Bureau Of Economic Analysis In 2011

The features of news report are concluded from translating the news of BEA in the first quarter of 2011 from the perspective of vocabularies and sentences,then specific solutions are proposed to the problems in translation.The translation practice aims to improve the translators practical and convey textual information accurately ability in economic text with standard of faithfulness,expressiveness and elegance through the translation of this news report and the text features of economic news.There are four parts in the translation report.The first part presents the description of translation task,in which a brief introduction of the background and text features is introduced.The second is the description of translation process,stating the preparation for the task as well as the translating process.The third part presents the typical cases and examples during the translation process as well as the corresponding translation methods from the aspects of vocabulary and sentence.In the process of the translation of the text,the translator adopts the methods such as literal translation with notes,translation of polysmy and amplification and omission of the words according to the problems of the abbreviations and choice of word meaning,and uses the skills of adjustment of sentence order and literal translation to solve the problems of cross-cultural and economic data.As for the fourth part,the summary of the whole translation practice is presented with a focus on my personal reflection.
