With the deepening of economic globalization,business and trade exchanges among countries are increasingly frequent.As a corporate “credit ID card”,company credit report,among other economic texts,plays a vital role in import and export trade and is an important basis for gaining the trust of partners.Therefore,it is necessary to analyze and discuss the translation of company credit report.The translation practice report,based on Functional Equivalence Theory,takes the translation of formal company credit reports in the internship as the object of analysis,makes an in-depth case study of the translation at the lexical level,and summarizes features of Chinese vocabulary in the kind of economic text and effective and feasible C-E translation methods of the vocabulary,providing a reference for translation of the vocabulary in company credit reports and other economic texts.The report is divided into five chapter.The first chapter is an introduction to the project,briefly stating the background and significance of project,and the characteristics of the original texts.The second chapter describes the detailed translation process,including preparation before translation,translation process and proofreading after translation.The third chapter expounds Eugene A.Nida’s Functional Equivalence Theory,including its origin,basic viewpoints,development and its applicability to the translation of economic texts.The fourth chapter is the case study,which discusses features of Chinese vocabulary and translation methods of the vocabulary.The last chapter is a summary of the translation practice project and the translation practice report,including the findings,shortcomings and suggestions. |
