| Business interpreting, as a usual interpreting form, is in great need in the market. It involves multiple forms of interpreting, including escort interpreting, consecutive interpreting and simultaneous interpreting. It has its own characteristics in terms of the language an industrial knowledge. To be a qualified business interpreter, you not only need to have a good command of the two languages and industrial knowledge, but also an adaptive and flexible mind. Besides, a strong body is also indispensable, both physically and psychologically. This thesis is based on a business interpreting practice I took outside of school in the third semester of MTI program in Hunan University. Through detailed case analysis, I illustrate how to utilize different interpreting techniques and some practical and on-the-spot strategies. It gives a concrete description of the whole interpreting process and my reflection on it, with the purpose of providing useful language source and case study for interpreting students and enlightenment for interpreting teachers. |
