ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical efficacy of combining Xuezhikang Capsules and gynostemma with low-dose metformin in early interventions of Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease(NAFLD)with impaired glucose regulation(IGR)and traditinonal Chinese medical(TCM)Syndrome analysis.MethodsTotally 100 patients with NAFLD and IGR were randomly divided into the control group and the treatment group, there were 50 patients in every group. The control group(n=50)received low-dose metformin(0.25 g,po before meal tid)in addition to lifestyle interventions(including moderate aerobic exercise, moderate diet, and dietary changes). The treatment group(n=50)received Xuezhikang Capsules(0.6g,po after meal bid)feeded with 5g gynostemma being flushed water in the based of The control group. Both groups share a course of 6 months. The changes of liver enzyme tests ?blood lipid? WC? MBI?FPG? 2hPG?FINS and HOMA-IR were recorded and analyzed between two groups. The changes were comparable before and after treatment of interior-group and after treatment of inter-group.At the same time,we observed TCM Syndrome change in the control group and the treatment group For Gan stagnation and Pi deficiency and retention of phlegmatic dampness, the changes were comparable after treatment of inter-group.We also observed effective rate of type-B ultrasonic inspection between them. The effective rate was comparable.Statistic process:The T test ?Chi-square test and Rank sum test were adopted for comparison.ResultsAfter 6 months' treatment. The Results were that ALT?AST?GGT?TG?LDL-C?FPG?2hPG?FINS?HOMA-IR?BMI and WC were significantly decreased. The data was comparable before and after treatment of interior-group.Match pairs sample group T test with SPSS 17 software package was used for statistical analysis. There were significant difference(P<0.01 ? P<0.05).The data was comparable after treatment of inter-group.Independent sample group T test was used for statistical analysis.ALT?AST?GGT?LDL-C?FPG?2hPG?FINS and HOMA-IR were significantly decreased. There were significant difference(P<0.01 ? P<0.05).TG ? BMI and WC were no significant difference(P>0.05).At the same time,we investigated that TCM Syndrome changes of Gan stagnation and Pi deficiency and retention of phlegmatic dampness in the treatment group were more than that in the control group. The effective rate(94.74%)of Gan stagnation and Pi deficiency in the treatment group was more significant than the effective rate(78.95%)of Gan stagnation and Pi deficiency in the control group. The effective rate(94.12%)of retention of phlegmatic dampness in the treatment group was more significant than effective rate(76.47%)of retention of phlegmatic dampness in the control group. The data was comparable after treatment of inter-group in Two TCM Syndrome changes.Independent sample group Chi-square test was used for statistical analysis(P<0.01).Effective rate(94.0%)of type-B ultrasonic inspection was more in the treatment group than Effective rate(72.0%)of type-B ultrasonic inspection in the control group(P<0.05).Chi-square test was used for statistical analysis.ConclusionThe two groups of experiments approved that both Xuezhikang Capsule feeded with gynostemma water and low-dose metformin had more remarkable effect than low-dose metformin in the treatment of NAFLD with IGR.These treatment plans were safe in the test. All the experimental indexes were significantly improved, and the indexs of liver function and renal function were not abnormally increasing. The combined medical treatment of the treatment group significantly improved Gan stagnation and Pi deficiency and retention of phlegmatic dampness for NAFLD with IGR.
