Influence Of Xuezhikang On Inflammatory Factor And Endothelial Function In Patients With Chronic Heart Failure

Objective 1.To observe the Influence of Xuezhikang on serum levels of TNF-α,IL-6 and endothelial function in patients with chronic heart failure and normal cholesterol levels.2.To observe the relationship of Xuezhikang improving endothelial function with TNF-αand IL-6.Methods Patients with chronic heart failure(NYHAⅡ～Ⅳ) were randomly allocated into Xuezhikang groups(n=24) and control groups(n= 24),which were given usual treatment according to the guide of CHF treatment.Meanwhile,treated groups recived XueZhiKang(2 capsules, BID)for 8 weewks.Serum levels of TNF-α,IL-6and endothelial function were determined.Results 1.Levels of IL-6 were decreased in XueZhiKang group from 12.78±1.83ng/L to 7.76±1.70ng/L(p＜0.01),there were statistical difference from that 9.79±1.89ng/L in the control group(p＜0.01).2.Levels of TNF-αwere decreased in XueZhiKang group from 227.21±73.16ng/L to 147.67±64.24ng/L(p＜0.01),there were statistical difference from that 186.33±76.56ng/L in the control group(p＜0.01).3.Endothelial dependent vasodilatation was significantly improved in XueZhiKang group from 4.46±1.41%to 13.67±2.45%(P＜0.01),there were statistical difference from that 8.37±2.57%in the control group (p＜0.01). 4.Endothelial independent vasodilatation was not significantly improved in XueZhiKang group from 11.07±2.16%to 11.78±3.28%(P＞0.05),there were not statistical difference from that 11.93±3.07%in the control group(p＞0.05).5.Levels of TNF-αand IL-6 were correlated to Endothelial dependent vasodilatation.Conclusion1.XueZhiKang may depress inflammatory process in patients with chronic heart failure and normal cholesterol levels.2.XueZhiKang may improve endothelial dependent vasodilatation in patients with chronic heart failure and normal cholesterol levels.3.The effect of XueZhiKang improving chronic heart failure is fulfilled, at least partly,through depressing TNF-αand IL-6.
