Study On The Ability Of Daily Living And Its Influencing Factors In Hospitalized Elderly Patients

Objective:By investigating the ability of daily life activities of elderly patients in a hospital in Chongqing,the main factors influencing the daily living ability of elderly patients were found out,which could help to improve the quality of life of elderly patients in hospital and provide the basis for scientific decision-making of relevant government departments.Method:1 Literature researchThrough the Weipu,Wanfang,China Knowledge Network and other databases to retrieve "hospitalized elderly patients" for the relevant literature research and journal access and related books to browse,understand and organize the relevant concepts and theories;Research on the theory,data and research trends of daily living ability of "hospitalized elderly patients" at home and abroad.2 Questionnaire investigationA questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate the elderly population aged ?60 years in the elderly department of a top three hospitals in Chongqing.The questionnaire included the general demographic characteristics questionnaire,the daily living ability scale and the social support rating scale.A total of 350 questionnaires were surveyed by a questionnaire surveyed by a trained trainer,with the help of health care workers,and a questionnaire was sent every two weeks.The effective rate was 92.86%.3 Statistical AnalysisAll the data were used to establish the database by EXCEL software,and SPSS20.0 statistical software was used for X2 test.Multivariate analysis was performed by Logistic regression analysis.4 Quality Control4.1 Access the relevant literature,design the questionnaire,and asked the experts to review the questionnaire,and then pre-survey,the unreasonable part of the questionnaire to modify and supplement to ensure the scientific nature of the questionnaire.4.2 Investigators must undergo uniform training and be familiar with the contents of the questionnaire,identify the purpose of the survey,and unify the evaluation criteria.4.3 Investigators should inform the contents and procedures of the survey and the purpose of the survey before the questionnaire and obtain the consent of the survey.The investigation should also strictly follow the principle of confidentiality,to ensure that the information will not be disclosed.4.4 After the investigation,the questionnaire is collected and sorted out by the trained personnel,and the data are checked to ensure the accuracy of the data.Results:The ability of daily living of hospitalized elderly patients was completely independent(ADL score of 100 points),accounting for 30.46%,with different degrees of decline accounted for more than 69.54%,down stairs,bathing,transfer decreased significantly.Men were completely independent accounted for 24.74%,women were completely independent accounted for 38.52%,women's complete independence is better than men,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);hospitalized elderly patients of all ages the impairment rate of daily living were 60-69 years old was 11.54%,70-79 was 43.33% years old,80-89 years old was 78.12%.Aged 90 to 100%,with the increase of age,the damage rate of hospitalized elderly patients was significantly increased,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);high levels of education,non spouse,living alone,the monthly income is high,and high social support for better ability of daily life of elderly patients in the low level of education,no spouse,living alone the monthly income is low,and less social support,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);chronic disease is the influencing factors of hospitalization ability of daily life in elderly patients,hypertension,cataract,chronic bronchitis,coronary heart disease,diabetes,prostate hyperplasia,stroke,osteoarthritis and other factors also influence,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);other disease the number of hospitalized elderly patients,daily life ability is poor,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);lifestyle,exercise factors in effect the ability of daily life in the elderly patients,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the influence factors of drinking and smoking in hospital is not whether the ability of daily life in the elderly patients,the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that age,there is no spouse,whether suffering from chronic disease,cataract,chronic bronchitis,prostatic hyperplasia,stroke,disease number,sports and social support are the factors which influence the ability of daily life in the elderly patients in hospital.Conclusion:In daily life ability of elderly patients with completely independent(ADL score 100)accounted for 30.46%,decreased accounted for 69.54%,of which more than under the stairs,bathing and transfer of the three daily life ability decreased obviously.The influence factors in the ability of daily life in the elderly patients are the following: whether age,spouse,sports,social support,whether suffering from chronic diseases,the number of sick,cataract,chronic bronchitis,prostatic hyperplasia,stroke.Therefore,we should pay more attention to the elderly patients who have no spouse,strengthen the prevention and control of common chronic diseases,advocate healthy lifestyle,and strengthen the social support for the elderly patients.
