Objective:At present,families and the society are paying more and more attention to maternal women's mental and physical health.As a special group in the society,maternal women are suffering mental problems in varying degrees,and the causes are different as well.Different women will have different mental problems as they become a mother for the first time.In modern society,postnatal health is of great importance to family harmony and social stability.A large number of researches show that yoga has a certain and positive effect on women's mental and physical health.However,how maternal women are affected by yoga,what effects yoga will have on maternal women's mental health,and whether the exercise can help women relieve postnatal depression are issues needing to discuss in the research.Research objectives and methods:The research aims to study what psychological effects of yoga will have on maternal women in Kunming,Yunnan.L.R.Derogatis' symptom check list-90(SCL-90)and self-rating depression scale(SDS)are adopted in the research,which chooses maternal women from local hospitals as experimental subjects.Data are collected and analyzed on the basis of questionnaire survey,experiment and interviews.By the contrastive analysis of changes in index on mental health before,during and after yoga practice and SDS scores,the results are as follows:1.in the mental health indicators SCL-90 scale data analysis,yoga practice on postpartum women mental health indicators of the circumference of the score has been reduced.Especially in obsessive,anxiety,interpersonal sensitivity,depression,paranoia,and other factors(sleep and diet)are more obvious.2.By analyzing the SDS self-assessment data obtained before,during,and after the experiment,yoga exercises can reduce the depression value of postpartum women..3,yoga intervention on the depression of women is relatively fast and effective,the most obvious in the first ten weeks,and the latter is in a stable development period.To sum up,yoga practice has a positive effect on the mental health of women,especially yoga exercises can relieve and improve postpartum depression.
