The questionnaire included three parts: generalinformation of maternal women, the pregnancy pressure scale and the SymptomChecklist (SCL-90).The database was established by Epidata3.1software and enteringof the returned questionnaire, the data was analyzed by SPSS13.0. In this study, themeasurement data were using Mean±SE. The count data described by frequency andconstituent ratio. The one-way analysis of variance was used t-test, and multiple linearstepwise regression analysis was used multiple-factor analysis, and correlationanalysis was used Pearson.Results:1. The average score of pregnancy stress is1.69±0.42, which is at the moderate level. In the three dimension of pregnancy stress, the second dimension “feeling of pressurein order to ensure the health and safety of mother and child caused” got the highestscore which was2.12±0.72. There are statistically differences on the pregnancystress level between the pregnant women with different personal characteristics, suchas age, education, occupation, family income, regard as important of fetal sex, planpregnancy, whether IVF case, whether it is the case of multiple births duringpregnancy (P <0.05). 2. The mean score of mental health during pregnancy was139.88±37.41, its totalscores were higher than the national level of the female norm except the depression, paranoid ideation and psychoticism factor. There are statistically differences on themental health level of the maternal women with different personal characteristics, such as education, occupation, family income, residence status, marital status, whetherthe primiparous, the weeks of pregnancy, regard as important of fetal sex, planpregnancy, whether IVF case, whether it is the case of multiple births(P <0.05).3. There were positively significant correlated between the pregnancy stress andmental health.4. The stepwise regression analysis showed that there were three factors affecting themental health: the average scores of pregnancy stress, education and plannedpregnancy.Conclusions:1.The maternal women’s pregnancy stress is in the medium level.2.The mental health level of maternal women is low.3.There was a positive correlation between the pregnancy stress and mental health.4.The factors that influence their mental health come from the average scores ofpregnancy stress, education and planned pregnancy.
