Objective: Classification of syndromes in patients with impaired glucose tolerance(IGT),Observe the law of syndrome distribution and according to the different syndromes of traditional Chinese medicine. To observe the traditional Chinese medicine for impaired glucose tolerance(IGT)patients and the overall intervention into type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods: Syndrome study:according to the characteristics of syndrome distribution,120 cases of IGT patients were divided into the following four types, combined with the results of clinical laboratory tests, application of statistical methods to study the clinical characteristics and differences of different syndrome types. On behalf of the tea of traditional Chinese medicine clinical research: methods120 patients with IGT were randomly divided into control group(n =24)and experimental group(n = 96)according to the proportion of 1:4.The test group according to TCM syndrome into Qi group, damp heat group,Yin hot group, blood stasis group, according to the different types of test group were given ShenMaiJiangTang decoction,Qingre Qushi, ziyinqingreyin,Yiqi Huoxue Decoction continuous intervention for 6 months, two groups were observed in patients with symptoms, signs,BMI,waist hip ratio(WHR),blood pressure, blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c),the clinical efficacy of insulin level and insulin resistance index etc. Results: Syndrome study:IGT common TCM Syndromes of Qi Yin deficiency, damp heat syndrome, yin deficiency,Qi deficiency and blood stasis type,Qi and yin deficiency type, damp heat type with an average high of BMI,the proportion of menand women constitute no significant difference,Qi and yin deficiency, damp heat syndrome, yin deficiency,Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome of deficiency of triglyceride levels were higher than the control group.Study on traditional Chinese medicine intervention on behalf of the tea:ShenMaiJiangTang decoction,Qingre Qushi, ziyinqingreyin,Qi Huoxue Decoction can effectively reduce postprandial blood glucose, before and after treatment, compared with control group(P<0.05),decreased the level of TG,before and after treatment compared with the control group(P<0.05),and two groups of patients did not appear to translate into DM patients,it is suggested that behavioral intervention combined with traditional Chinese medicine can effectively reverse IGT,delay the process, the two have significant difference(P<0.05),there was no significant difference in ALT,AST,Cr and BUN in each group(P>0.05).Conclusion: TCM syndrome is more common in IGT patients was two Qi and yin deficiency syndrome, dampness heat syndrome, yin deficiency syndrome,Qi deficiency and blood stasis,One of the most common two Yin deficiency syndrome,Qi and yin deficiency may lead to impaired glucose tolerance is the main reason of abnormal.Chinese tea to intervention therapy can effectively reduce postprandial blood glucose stable, fasting blood glucose, lipid metabolism, and no toxic side effect, and can significantly delay the development of IGT DM,can reduce the occurrence of DM.
