Objective: To observe the clinical effect of the Modified gongdi prescription in the treatment of spleen and kidney qi deficiency syndrome of frequent urination disease and to explore the mechanism of action of Chinese and western medicine,and to provide new ideas for the treatment of frequent urination disease.Methods: Sixty patients who met the diagnostic criteria of frequent urination disease were randomly divided into experimental group and control group.The rats in the control group were treated with the Modified gongdi prescription and the control group was treated with Fortune capsule for 8 weeks.To observe the changes of the score of individual TCM symptoms,the lower urinary tract symptoms(LUTS)score,the score of overactive bladder symptom score(OABSS),the average number of 24 hours of urination,the average daily urine output and adverse reaction.Results:(1)Comparison of single TCM symptom scores in two groups: compared with the control group,the experimental group had a very significant effect on the frequency of urination,urgency,dysuria,soreness and weakness of waist and knees,eat less loose stools,dripping urine,lassitude,sallow complexion,dizziness,forgetfulness(P<0.01),a significant improvement in terms of hearing loss tinnitus(P<0.05),no improvement in the aspects of body weight loss(P>0.05);(2)Comparison of two groups of TCM symptoms: the total effective rate of the experimental group was 100%,the control group was 83.33%,the experimental group was significantly better than the control group(P<0.05);(3)After treatment,the experimental group in reducing the average number of urination per day,improving the average daily urinary volume of the curative effect is very significant(P<0.01),in the aspects of the LUTS score and OABSS score also increased significantly(P<0.01);(4)The total effective rate of the two groups: the total effective rate of the experimental group was 100%,the total effective rate of the control group was 70%;the statistical analysis showed that the total effective rate of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion:Modified gongdi prescription can significantly improve the spleen qi deficiency syndrome of frequent urination disease with systemic symptoms and signs,TCM syndrome is also more prominent.The effect of Modified gongdi prescription on adverse drug reaction was not found and it was safe.It can provide theoretical and clinical basis for the treatment of spleen and kidney qi deficiency syndrome of frequent urination disease.
