Clinical Research On The Correlation Of Sudden Deafness And Constitutional In Traditional Chinese Medicine

Objective:This study is based on the constitution theory of TCM.The original data have been collected by questionnaire survey in patients with sudden hearing loss and we determine the patients constitutional type by scale.Then,we summarized the susceptible constitution characteristic by the statistical analysis;Finally,we formulated corresponding prevention and control program to provide the reference for clinical prevention and treatment of SHL.The method of Clinical research:According to the constitution theory of TCM,in combination with the guideline and expert opinions,base on the <Constitution In Chinese Medicine Questionnaire>(CCMQ)of professor Wang's constitution in chinese medicine of rule of nine to modification.A questionnaire survey was conducted,aimed at 112 cases which see a doctor in ENT department of Yunnan Province Hospital of TCM from December 1,2015 to December 1,2016 and conform the inclusion criteria.They need to answer the questions from <Constitution In Chinese Medicine Questionnaire>(CCMQ)(details as each attached list).For the questionnaire content,different question contents are set for the 5 level score,Firstly,calculate the original points and conversional points,Secondly,in accordance with the standard to determine the physical type.The normal type is gentleness type,the other eight kinds of type is pathological type.The analysis of statistical and the questionnaire data,using the SPSS22.0 for frequency analysis of descriptive analysis to explain the distribution of constitution type.Exploratory analysis for the relationship between constitution and pathogenic factor and to observe the distribution of constitution and pathogenic factor.Results:1.In all 112 patients,there are 61 males(54%)and 51 females(46%).2.In all 112 patients,there are 59 cases(53%)of the left ear of SHL,51 cases(45%)of the right ear and 2 cases(2%)of both ears of SHL.3.Mild deafness are 41 cases(53%),moderate deafness are 56 cases(50%),Moderately severe deafness are 15 cases(13%).4.They are 2 Gentleness type patients(5%),5 patients are qi-deficiency type(5%),4patients are yang-deficiency type(4%),14 patients are yin-deficiency type(13%),30 patients are phlegm-wetness type(27%),9 patients are wet-heat type(8%),5 patients are blood-stasis type(5%),42 patients are qi-depression type(38%),1 patient is special diathesis type(1%).5.Constitutional types of mild deafness: 2 patients are gentleness type(5%),3 patients are qi-deficiency type(7%),2 patients are yang-deficiency type(5%),9 patients are yin-deficiency type(22%),8 patients are phlegm-wetness type(20%),3 patients are wet-heat type(7%),2 patients are blood-stasis type(5%),11 patients are qi-depression type(27%),1 patient is special diathesis type(2%).6.Constitutional types of moderate deafness: 0 patient is gentleness type,2 patients are qi-deficiency type(4%),2 patients are yang-deficiency type(4%),5 patients are yin-deficiency type(9%),20 patients are phlegm-wetness type(36%),6 patients are wet-heat type(11%),3 patients are blood-stasis type(5%),18 patients are qi-depression type(32%),0 patient is special diathesis type.7.Constitutional types of Moderately severe deafness: 0 patient is gentleness type,0patients is qi-deficiency type,0 patients is yang-deficiency type,0 patients are yin-deficiency type,2 patients are phlegm-wetness type(13%),0 patients is wet-heat type,0 patients is blood-stasis type,13 patients are qi-depression type(87%),0patient is special diathesis type.8.According to the 112 patients' results,9 patients be cured(8%),83 cases have markedly efficacy on medical treatment(74%),20 cases have efficacy on medical treatment(18%),0 case has inefficacy on medical treatment.9.The distribution of audiometric curve: 42 patients are slow drop type,34 patients are steep drop type,and 36 patients are flat type,and 0 patient is total deafness type.Conclusions:According to this study,it shows that pathological type is in the majority,gentleness type is in the minority.In pathological type,qi-depression type is the most,yin-deficiency type is the second.Male patients slightly more than female patients.Single ear get ill is in the majority;Left ear slightly more than right ear;The morbidity of SHL has related to constitution,gender,sick ear and audiometric curve.
