Investigation And Research In Sudden Hearing Loss Patients’constitutions In Chinese Medicine

ObjectiveThe purpose of this paper is to through the research of TCM constitution type in patients with sudden hearing loss, to master the distribution of constitution types in patients with sudden hearing loss and it’s characteristics, and from the distribution characteristics search and study on the susceptibility of sudden hearing loss and the change rule, in order to provide the new direction for the prevention and treatment of sudden hearing loss.Methods100cases of sudden hearing loss patients were investigated by using standardized Constitution in Chinese Medicine Questionnaire to evaluation the scores of all kinds, judge these types of constitution according to China Association of Chinese Medicine standard "classify and judge of Chinese medicine constitution". Meanwhile, the daily habits and the curative effect after have2weeks treated with comprehensive treatment of traditional Chinese medicine would be investigated also. Input the investigation data into computer data bases. Use the SPSS statistical software package to perform analysis.ResultsThe study had collected from2013to2014, the1st affiliated hospital of guangzhou university of Chinese medicine in the diagnosis of100cases of patients with sudden hearing loss, including male55, women45people. The age from6to74years, mean age39.44±14.07years old. Shortest course of disease for1day, the longest for30days, the average course of disease of10.74±9.78days. On admission for hearing loss situation, mild hearing loss7people, moderate mild hearing loss12people, severe hearing loss40people, very severely hearing loss41people. In100cases of sudden hearing loss patients, the constitution of gentleness49persons, the constitution of biased51persons. And in the constitution of biased sudden hearing loss patients, the partial-cold constitution38people, partial-hot constitution13people. After2weeks treated with comprehensive treatment of traditional Chinese medicine treatment, recovered of25people,25people who were markedly effective, effective30people, invalid20people, the total effective rate was80%. Among them, the patients of the constitution of gentleness had recovered of19persons, markedly effective15persons, effective10persons, invalid5persons, its efficiency is89.80%. The patients of the constitution of biased had recovered of6persons, markedly effective11persons, effective20persons, invalid15persons, its efficiency is70.59%. By x2-test found, the constitution of gentleness and the constitution of biased have difference in curative effect (P<0.05), and the patients of the constitution of gentleness have more curative effect; And in the constitution of biased51persons, the patients of partial-cold constitution had recovered of5persons, markedly effective8persons, effective18persons, invalid7persons, its efficiency is81.56%. The patients of partial-hot constitution had recovered of1persons, markedly effective2persons, effective2persons, invalid8persons, its efficiency is38.46%. By x2-test found, the partial-cold constitution and the partial-hot constitution also exist difference in curative effect(P<0.05), and the patients of partial-cold constitution have more curative effect. Poor diet, sleeping habits and fatigue have difference influence between in different constitutions (P<0.05). The constitution in Chinese medicine of sudden hearing loss has no correlation with age and gender (P>0.05).Conclusion1. The Incidence of sudden hearing loss in the constitution of gentleness and the constitution of biased are equally, it is indicate that the occurrence of sudden hearing loss is unpredictable. Especially in the constitution of biased is given priority to with the partial-cold constitution, so, in clinical, we need careful to using the cold medicine.2. In patients with sudden hearing loss, the patients of the constitution of gentleness than the patients of the constitution of biased have more curative effect. In patients of the constitution of biased, the patients of partial-cold constitution than the patients of partial-hot constitution have more curative effect. 3. Poor diet, sleep and fatigue that would become the causes of sudden hearing loss. TCM constitution type of sudden hearing loss has no correlation with age and gender.
