A Study On Hospital Retiring Nurse Retirement Plan Situation And Influencing Factors

Objective:The purpose of this study is to grasp the current situation of hospital nurses to develop retirement plans,analyze their influencing factors,and make better strategies and suggestions for hospital nurses to make retirement plans to improve the Retiring nurses' retirement life,to promote their active aging.Methods:Using the convenient sampling method,the retiring nurses aged over 50 years old in four tertiary hospitals in Changchun City were selected as the research object.From June to August 2016,the survey was conducted on the nurses aged 50 years old who met the inclusion criteria.Survey tools are adopted: general information questionnaire,Retirement Planning Preparation Questionnaire(RPPQ),Profession Practice Environment(PPE),Nurses' Job Satisfaction Rating Scale(NJSRS).Epidata3.1 was selected to enter the data,SPSS17.0 was used to analyze the results.Statistical methods: general information on subjects,situation of nurse retirement plan,personal status,working environment,job satisfaction,and national and hospital policies were described by mean,standard deviation,percentage,median and quartile.Chi-square test,t test,ANOVA and rank sum test were used to analyze the demographic differences of status quo of nurses retirement plans,individual health,working conditions,job satisfaction,national and hospital policies.Using multiple regression and multiple stepwise regression analysis the hospital nurses retirement plan influencing factors.Spearman correlation analysis was used to explore the relationship between personal condition,working environment,job satisfaction and national and hospital policy and retiring nurses' retirement plans.Results:1.There are 152 subjects in this study finally.General descriptive analysis shows that most of the hospital nurses lack a retirement plan for the future(n = 122,80.3%).Nearly 33%(n = 50)of the hospital elderly nurses planned to remain in their jobs after retiring,13.8%(n = 21)of the retiring nurses plan to participate in volunteer work,intends to participate in other aspects of work or amateur life and not expressed care workers accounted for about 40%(n = 65).But few people plan to teach at school(n = 6,3.9%),work in a community or nursing home(n = 9,5.9%).In addition,the hospital retiring nurses intend to continue to work for five years after retirement is to continue to work for about five years and above about twice.The hospital nurse was well satisfied with the working environment(n = 147,96.7%),but the overall job satisfaction was relatively low(n = 73,48%).2.The results of chi-square test showed that the general data of the subjects were not significantly statistically significant(P> 0.05).3.Univariate analysis of variance showed that there was a significant difference between the parental status(including both alive,one alive,and both death),children situation(including ?1 and ? 2 children)and the retirement plan of the retiring nurses in the general data(P < 0.05).4.Spearman correlation analysis shows that there was a significant positive correlation between the overall working environment,the information exchange with patient,leadership and autonomy,cultural sensitivity,control of the practice,hospital policy of working enwironment,the personal growth and development of job satisfaction and retirement plans of the retiring nurses(P <0.05).5.Multiple regression analysis showed that the three variables of patient information exchange,personal growth and development and hospital policy entered the regression equation,and the hospital nurses had a positive predictive effect on the retirement plan.Multivariate stepwise regression results showed that the patient information exchange,hospital policy,teamwork and personal growth and development of four variables into the regression equation,the four together explained 21.7% of the variance.Conclusions:1.The retiring nurses of hospital on the retirement plan is not sufficient,Most of whom are not clear about the whereabouts of retirement.Therefore,the retiring nurses should pay attention to their own retirement plans to make their own aging life full and valuable.2.Hospital retiring nurses make retirement plans by many factors,including parents,children,work environment,patient information exchange,hospital policy,teamwork and personal growth and development is the retiring nurses to make the main factors affecting the retirement plan.The hospital elderly nurses to make a good retirement plan according to that,is conducive to the realization of new goals and new life of the elderly,so as to re-realize the value of self-life,enriching self-life.3.Multivariate stepwise regression analysis shows that patient information exchange,hospital policy and personal growth and development can positively predict the retiring nurses' retirement plans,while teamwork is a negative predictive retirement plan.It suggests that regardless of country,hospital or retiring nurses individual should pay attention to these predictors,for the Retiring nurses to provide retirement planning education,to strengthen all aspects of management,to enable the retiring nurses to better make retirement plans to achieve a good transition to work to retirement.In addition,to a certain extent,can reduce the burden on the state and society.
