| Background and ObjectiveRecurrent pneumonia is a common phenomenon of pediatrics and is associated with primary diseases, but there is about one-third of the reasons is unknown. There are a large number of reviews on the immune-based immune dysfunction is one of the reasons,in recent years Th17 / Treg cells immune disorder has caused great concern.Th17 cells play a prophylactic role in the secretion of IL-17,Treg cells play significant action of anti-inflammatory,inhibit excessive immune response and maintain autoimmune tolerance and so on,which secrete IL-35,TGF-β,IL-10 and other cytokines. We detected the levels of IL-17,IL-35 and TGF-β in serum of recurrent pneumonia, acute pneumonia and normal control group. At the same time,we compared the mild and severe pneumonia and analyzed the changes of cytokines in recurrent pneumonia,to explore its possible potential mechanism and find evidence of cell immune imbalance, which could provide a certain theoretical basis for immunomodulation therapy.MethodsFifty-five children with recurrent pneumonia were admitted in the first affiliated hospital of Zhengzhou University from October 2014 to October 2016.The group was divided into mild group(n = thirty-five)and severe group(n = twenty).Thirty cases of acute pneumonia and 30 healthy children were included. The levels of IL-17,IL-35 and TGF-β were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, and the correlation between cytokines was analyzed.Results1.The serum level of IL-17 in recurrent pneumonia group(33.105±4.192pg/ml)was significantly higher than that in acute pneumonia(26.325±2.720pg/ml)and healthy control group(18.887±2.846pg/ml)(P<0.05)2.The serum level of IL-35 in recurrent pneumonia group(28.339±3.749pg/ml)was significantly lower than that in acute pneumonia(35.617±4.575pg/ml)and healthy control group(53.322±6.266pg/ml)(P<0.05).3.The serum level of TGF-β in recurrent pneumonia group(1085.5±223.442 pg/ml)was significantly lower than that in acute pneumonia(1591.570±190.916 pg/ml)and healthy control group(2151.270±305.722pg/ml)(P<0.05).4.The value of IL-17 / IL-35 and IL-17/TGF-β in recurrent pneumonia group were higher than those in acute pneumonia and healthy control group(P<0.05).5.The serum levels of IL-17 in severe pneumonia group(38.021±2.203pg/ml)was significantly higher than that in mild pneumonia(30.647±2.331pg/ml)(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in IL-35 and TGF-β levels between severe and mild groups. The value of IL-17 / IL-35 and IL-17/TGF-β in severe pneumonia group were higher than that in mild pneumonia.6.The correlation analysis showed that IL-17 was negatively correlated with IL-35 and TGF-β in pneumonia group(which including recurrent pneumonia group and acute pneumonia group)(r =-0.472,-0.430,P <0.05).IL-35 was positively correlated with TGF-β(r = 0.536,P<0.05).Conclusion1.The level of IL-17 in of children with recurrent pneumonia was increased, and the levels of IL-35 and TGF-βwere decreased, which indicated that Th17 / Treg cells imbalance was closely related to the development.2.The high level of IL-17 may be associated with the severity of the disease. |
