Objectives: Through questionnaire survey, data statistics, and evaluation of respondents' general health conditions and practices(KAP),learn about basic conditions of residents in the surveyed area provide basic materials for archiving the respondents' nutrition & health conditions and scientific basis for relevant departments to work out intervention measures related to prevention and treatment of nutritional diseases. Methods: Partial urban residents in Yingkou City,Liaoning Province were selected as respondents. The stratified cluster random sampling was adopted to select 750 residents aged beyond 18 years in partial areas of Yingkou. The trained investigators asked questions and filled questionnaires.EpiData software is adopted to establish the questionnaire data,SPSS23.0 software is used to analysis and operate the data. Results: 1)According to the evaluation of respondents' nutrition conditions, following conclusions were made: the respondents who have normal weight account for 47.7%;respondents who are underweight account for 5.3%;and respondents who are overweight or obese account for 47.0%,higher than the national average obesity rate of 35%.The obesity and overweight rate is higher when people became older especially in 50-69 year old group, the next is the 70 S group.2)It was found that although correlations between food sources and nutrient intake of the sampled respondents have their own characteristics, the main sources of protein in energy supply-related nutritious foods are as follows: fishes, legumin, wheat, and livestock meat;foods related to fat intake include: vegetable oil, livestock meat, and nuts;main carbohydrates are from rice, fruits, leafy vegetables, and wheat;and foods that supply energy mainly include: vegetable oil, livestock meat, fishes and dried fruits.According to the dietary nutrition survey, although the total energy intake is not very high, the protein intake and fat intake are relatively high,a little higher than the standard energy intake proportion specified in Dietary Guidelines for Chinese Residents(2016),while the carbohydrate intake is relatively low.In addition, overweight and obese respondents' intakes of total energy, protein, fat, and carbohydrate are all higher than that of normal groups.3)According to analysis of survey results of respondents' knowledge, attitudes, and practices, about 67.5% of respondents don't know relevant contents in Balanced Diet Pagoda and Dietary Guidelines for Chinese Residents, implying the lack of knowledge about health and nutrition. In addition, overweight and obese groups prefer fast foods such as pizza and hamburger;overweight and obese groups prefer snacks such as expanded foods;overweight and obese groups prefer low-intensity workouts such as walking and Tai Chi;and overweight and obese groups prefer leisure activities in which they can sit such as watching TV,reading books and newspapers. So,all these results showed that overweight and obese groups among the respondents have unhealthy dietary preference and habits of having little exercise or even no exercise. Conclusions: the overweight and obesity rate of the urban respondents 47.0%.The overweight and obese rate of each group grow higher when people became older. In the surveyed area, residents have good dietary nutrition conditions and basically appropriate energy-supply nutrient proportions, but high vegetable oil intake.Although most respondents don't have enough or have no knowledge about nutrition, they have correct attitudes to nutrition and reasonable dietary behaviors. In addition, their attitude to diet is basically correct.
