Home Care Needs And Influencing Factors Of Elderly Patients With Fractures In Yanbian Area

Purpose:This research aims to analyze the relationship among needs of home care and nursing of the elder patients with fracture,their self-care ability in daily living and the current situation of the social support in Yanbian area,to explore the influencing factors of needs of home care and nursing of elder patients with fracture in Yanbian area,so as to provide the theoretical basis for improving home care and nursing service.Methods:This study is a non-experimental research of the correlation study.The questionnaire survey is conducted with the elder patients with fracture in six general hospitals which are secondary and tertiary hospitals in Yanji City,Dunhua City,Antu County,Hunchun County and other general hospitals under the Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture.The 660 questionnaires are administrated.There are 654 valid questionnaires and the valid return rate is 99.1%.The research instruments include Toolkit Social Demographic Questionnaire,Fracture Home Care and Nursing Demand Scale,Daily Life Self-care Ability Scale,Social Support Rating Scale.This study also applies SPSS17.0 statistical software to analyze the collected data.This paper applies percentage,mean standard deviation,independent sampe t test,the single factor varianle,the correlation analysis of Spearman and multivariate linear regression analysis and other statistical methods as the research methods.Result:(1)The score of needs of home care and nursing among elder patients with fracture in Yanbian area is(14.99±9.28),the perlentage of need for home care and nursing is 91.7%.The diversity in the age,gender,ethnic,marital status,literacy level,family per month income,living condition,the home paramedics,the position of fracture and the knowledge of illness are statistically significant(p<0.05).(2)The self-care ability in daily living of the research subjects:The wholly reliant rate is 11.6%,which includes 76 people;the severe reliant rate is 28%,which includes 183 people;the medium reliant rate is 28%,which includes 183 people;the mild reliant rate is 26%,which includes 170 people;the rate of independent self-care ability is 6.4%,which includes 42 people.The main influencing factures are gender,age,marital status,literacy level,living condition and the position of fracture(p<0.05).(3)The total score of the social support is(36.63 ± 7.28),which indicates that the social support of the elder patients with fracture in Yanbian area is in a moderate level.There are differenles in gender,age,marital status,literacy level,family per capita income,the payment pattern of medical cost,living condition,the paramedics,and the position of fracture among fracture patients(p<0.05).(4),The correlation between home care and nursing needs,self-care ability in daily living and social support of the elder patients with fracture in Yanbian area.The needs of home care and nursing and the self-care ability in daily living are negatively correlated(r=-0.376,p<0.01),needs of home care and nursing and the social support are negatively correlated(r=-0.104,p<0.01),the self-care ability in daily living and the social support are positively correlated(r=0.132,p<0.01).(5)The self-care ability in daily living,family per month income,marital status and literacy level are the main influencing factors of needs of home care and nursing by analyzing the elements through multivariate linear regression.Conclusion:The overall demand for home care and nursing needs of the elder patients with fracture in Yanbian area is 91.7%,which shows a high need for the home care and nursing;there are correlations among needs of home care and nursing,self-care ability in daily living,and the social support;in Yanbian area,the main influencing factors of needs of home care and nursing of the elder patients with fracture are self-care ability in daily living,family per month monthly income,marital status and literacy level.
