Research purposeAccording to the research of the home page of proximal femoral fractures inpatient medical cases that happened from 2003 to 2016 in Wangjing Hospital, author collected and sorted out the general information of patients, treatment information, and complications information to find the relation among various information, thereby,to explore the risk factors of complications of hospitalized patients with proximal femoral fractures.Research methodsFrom the database of Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine Wangjing Hospital' s medical information system, author extracted medical home pages of entire proximal femoral fracture cases from January 1,2003 to December 31,2016.The information will be verified, cleaned and data mined by a complex network approach to build an Excel database with all available information.Statistical analysis was performed by logistic single factor binary review with all statistically significant information.Eventually,Logistic multivariate binary analysis was used to identify the related risk factors of anemia, hypoproteinemia and pulmonary infection.Research resultThis study contained Wangjing hospital entire cases of proximal femoral fractures from 2003 to 2016,total 1977 cases, including 798 male cases(40.36%)and 1179 female cases(59.64%);The average age of patients with proximal femoral fractures was 71.27 years old,and the most cases located in the range from 75 to 79,total 368 cases(18.61%);The average hospitalization days of patients were 26.21 days,of which most patients stayed 20 to 24 days(19.98%);Based on all information, the statistics indicated that the most occurred comorbid in frequentation order were, hypertension,Coronary atherosclerotic heart disease, old cerebrovascular disease, diabetes, arrhythmia, chronic respiratory disease, and osteoporosis.Other comorbidities were not included in the list of complications due to.fewer occurrences. The six most occurred complications in frequentation order were anemia, hypoproteinemia, pulmonary infection, lower extremity venous thrombosis, electrolyte imbalance, and urinary tract infection. The top three episodes were selected in the study ultimately.Logistic multivariate binary review found that the factors affecting anemia in the treatment of proximal femoral fractures were gender, age, hypertension, whether surgery, and whether to use Chinese herbal medicine. The factors affecting hypoproteinemia were age, length of hospitalization days,Old cerebrovascular disease, whether to do operation, and whether to use of Chinese herbal medicine; The related factors affecting lung infection were age, length of hospitalization days, chronic respiratory diseases, and whether to use of Chinese herbal medicine.Conclusion1.The incidence of proximal femoral fractures shows an upward trend. The prevalence mainly focuses on the elderly population group and female patients are more than male ones. The most common comorbidities,in frequentation order, are hypertension, coronary atherosclerotic heart disease, chronic cerebrovascular disease, diabetes, arrhythmia, chronic respiratory disease and osteoporosis. The highest incidence of the disease complications are anemia, hypoproteinemia, pulmonary infection, lower extremity venous thrombosis, electrolyte imbalance and urinary tract infection2.Female,advanced age, hypertension, surgery and complication anemia are significantly associated.Advanced age, length of hospitalization days, chronic cerebrovascular disease, surgery and complication hypoalbuminemia are significantly associated.Advanced age, length of hospitalization days, combined chronic respiratory diseases and complication pulmonary infection are significantly associated.3.Chinese herbal medicine maybe played an extremely positive role in the proximal femoral fracture treatment.
