Yao Tong Point Acupuncture Fitted With Electro-Acupuncture In The Treatment Of The Lumbar Disc Herniation Of Excess-Syndrome

ObjectiveTo observe the clinical study on treating the lumber disc herniation of excess-syndrome by electro-acupuncture fitted with Yao Tong Point acupuncture,it is important and practically significant to seek a simple method which is safe,simple,inexpensive and definitely effected.MethodsTo use of randomized control study method,60 patients met the criteria in Department of acupuncture moxibustion,ward of the first affiliated hospital of Guangzhou university of TCM were randomly divided into treatment group and control group with 30 cases each.The treatment group treated with YAO Tong Point acupuncture combined with routine electroacupuncture,while the control group patients were treated with electroacupuncture only.Using Yao Tong Point acupuncture with purgative method.Taking electric therapy with sparse distribution dense wave on the Dachang and Shenshu,Jiaji points of the same side.Taking acupuncture therapy thirty minutes everytime and five times a week,continuous curative effect observation of two weeks.JOA score and VAS score were observed before and after the treatment to evaluate the improvement of the pain,the symptom and the physical sign.Results1.It had no statistics-difference between the two groups,involving age,gender,course of disease,syndrome types,VAS score and JOA score,all of them compared before the treatment(P>0.05).2.The two groups after treatment compared with those before treatment in JOA score and VAS score were statistically significant(P<0.05),and it suggested that the pain,the symptom and the physical sign were both improved,but the curative effect of the treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.05).It manifested that treating the lumber disc herniation of blood-stasis-syndrome through using the Yao Tong Point was better than treating through using electrol-acupuncture only.3.After the therapy,2 cases were cured,16 cases were significantly improved,8 cases were improved,and 1 case was ineffective among the treatment group.1 case was cured,10 cases were significantly improved,12 cases were improved,3 cases were ineffective among the control group.The two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05),it showed the effect of two groups had significant difference.ConclusionThe method of treating the lumber disc herniation of cxcess-syndrome by using electro-acupuncture fitted with Yao Tong Point acupuncture is definitely effective.It can help ease the pain.Besides,the curative effect was better than the control group.
