Clinical Study Of Fire Needle On Yao Jiaji Points Combined With Electro-acupuncture To Lumbar Disc Herniation

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of fire needle of yaojiaji points combined with electro-acupuncture and compared with the only electro-acupuncture therapy to lumbar disc herniation, to see the curative effect two groups made, summarize the discrepancy,Provide a better choice for acupuncture clinic.Methods:This study totally collected 60 patients who were suitable for the research, and they were randomly split into two groups:one called test group and the other is control group, each group contained 30 patients. Test group use fire needle and electro-acupuncture therapy, while control group use only electro-acupuncture therapy. Each patient accepted treatment three times a week,one course a week, two courses in total. Collected general information about 60 patients such as gender、age、course of disease and JOA、VAS、ODI、 Prolo score before and after treatment. Recorded data correctly and assessed by SPSS22.0 software to evaluate the clinic effect of two groups.Result:1. There was no statistically significant discrepancy in the general information of two groups (P>0.05). Compared the JOA、VAS、ODI and Prolo score of 60 Patients before treatment between groups find out there’s no significant difference(P>0.05), which meant the two groups were comparable.2. JOA score were compared within groups before and after treatment had statistically significant discrepancy (P<0.05), which meant both groups raised the JOA score after treatment;The comparison between two groups after treatment had statistically significant discrepancy (P<0.05),which meant the JOA score after treatment of the test group was higher than the control group. The difference compared between two groups had statistically significant discrepancy(P<0.05),which meant test group had a better way to raise the JOA score.3. VAS score were compared within groups before and after treatment had statistically significant discrepancy(P< 0.05), which meant both groups decreased the VAS score after treatment;The comparison between two groups of 60 patients after treatment had statistically significant discrepancy(P< 0.05),which meant the VAS score after treatment of the test group was lower than the control group.The difference compared between two groups had statistically significant discrepancy(P<0.05),which meant test group had a better way to lower the VAS score.4. ODI score were compared within groups before and after treatment had statistically significant discrepancy(P<0.05),which meant both groups decreased the ODI score after treatment;The comparison between two groups after treatment had statistically significant discrepancy(P<0.05), which meant the ODI score after treatment of the test group was lower than the control group. The difference compared between two groups had statistically significant discrepancy(P<0.05), which meant test group had a better way to lower the ODI score.5. The Prolo score after treatment between two groups had statistically significant discrepancy(P<0.05), which meant the Prolo score after treatment of the test group was better than the control group.6. The effective rate of test group was 73.3%, and the total effective rate of test group was 93.3% while the effective rate of control group was 53.3%, and the total effective rate was 86.7% of control group, which shows both rate of test group were high than control group. The clinical effective had statistically significant discrepancy(P<0.05), which meant the test group had a better way to improve the LDH syndrome.7. The clinical effective of syndrome types compared within groups had no statistically significant discrepancy(P>0.05), which meant each way to cure four syndrome types was therapeutic equivalently.Conclusion:This study showed electro-acupuncture had obvious effect in curing LDH, but combined with fire needle of yaojiaji points had much more evident effect improving LDH syndrome. The operating of fire needle was simple and curable for most LDH patients, it’s worth widely spread in acupuncture clinic.
