| ObjectiveTo evaluate the Jingu Capsule's effect on serum interleukin IL-6 and T NF-? of patients with osteoporosis and to provide a new direction for its clinical diagnosis and treatment by exploring the correlation between cyt okines and the pain of senile osteoporotis.At the same time,to study the treatment mechanism,clinical efficacy and security of Jingu Capsule.Methods60 cases with senile osteoporosis(diagnosed as deficiency syndrome of liver and Kidney)were selected according to the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria and were divided into two groups(each with 30 cases)according to the random number method.The Jingu Capsule group were given calcium carbonate D3 and Jingu Capsule while Gusongbao Capsule group given calcium carbonate D3 and Gusongbao Capsule.The BMD of the lumbar vertebra(L2-L4),serum interleukin IL-6 and TNF-? level,VAS scores,TCM clinical symptom score were measured before and after treatment.The treatment efficacy was evaculated,the differences before and after treatment were copared and the correlation was analysed.Results1.There was no significant difference in baseline characterization bet ween two groups before treatment(P>0.05).2.In comparison between the two groups after treatment,the serum inte rleukin IL-6 and TNF-? level,the AS scores,the TCM clinical symptom scor e were lower than before and the difference have statistically significant(P<0.05).The BMD of Jingu Capsule group after treatment were higher than before,while Gusongbao Capsule group were lower than before without stat istically differences(P>0.05).3.In comparison among the two groups after treatment,there was no sig nificant difference in BMD and serum TNF-? level between the two groups(P>0.05).The serum interleukin IL-6,VAS scores,TCM clinical symptom sco re of Jingu Capsule group were lower than those of Gusongbao Capsule group while the total effect was higher,and the differences have statistically significant(P<0.05).4.Correlation analysis via Pearson analysis:The VAS scores had a stro ng negative correlation with BMD(P<0.01)while having a strong positive c orrelation with serum interleukin IL-6and serum interleukin TNF-?(P<0.01).The BMD had a strong negative correlation with serum interleukin IL-6 and serum interleukin TNF-?(P<0.01).Conclusion1.Jingu Capsule could reduce the level of serum interleukin IL-6 and serum interleukin TNF-a and could relieve the waist pain of the patients with senile osteoporosis.Jingu Capsule was found to inhibit the bone resorption by reducing bone destruction and the generation of cytokines so as to relieve the pain of patients with senile osteoporosis via our observation.2.Compared with Gusongbao Capsule,Jingu Capsule has an advantage in reducing the serum interleukin IL-6 level and relieving the pain of the patients with osteoporosis,which indicated that Jingu Capsule is better than similar Chinese medicine in inhibiting the pain caused by inflammatory reactions.3.The serum interleukin IL-6 and TNF-? level were related to the pain symptoms and BMD of patients with senile osteoporosis in some degree,which suggested that the pain is caused by the inflammatory reactions and targeted therapy would control the pain symptoms effectively.4.Jingu Capsule was worth promotioning for its effectiveness in controlling the inflammation reactions of patients with senile osteoporosis. |
