Clinical Effect And Influence Of SOD And MDA Of Wenfei Jiangzhuo Decoction On Vascular Dementia

Objective: To investigate the clinical curative effects of the Wenfei Jiangzhuo decoction on the treatment of vascular dementia and discuss its possible mechanism through regulation of the levels of serum SOD,MDA of the patients.Methods: According to the inclusion criteria,60 cases were randomly divided into treatment group(30 cases)with Donepezil Hydrochloride Tablets and Wenfei Jiangzhuo decoction and control group(30 cases)of Donepezil Hydrochloride Tablets.Two groups were observed for 2 months.Making comparison of the variation with mini-mental state examination(MMSE)score,ability of daily life(ADL)score and serum superoxide dismutase(SOD),malondialdehyde(MDA)level after treatment,and evaluating the theraputic effects.Results: The total clinical curative effect rate of the treatment group was85.7%,while it was 72.4% of the control group.The difference between the two groups had statistical significance(P < 0.05).The MMSE score was higher,and ADL scores was reduced(P < 0.05)of the two groups after treatment.The comparison difference of two groups after treatment in patients had statistical significance(P > 0.05).The ADL and MMSE scores were significantly lower than the control group's(P < 0.05).The SOD levels rose obviously,and the level of MDA was decreased significantly(P <0.05).Moreover,SOD level was significantly higher than the control group's,while MDA level was lower than the control group's(P < 0.05).Safety evaluation: blood routine,urine routine,stool routine,electrocardiogram(ECG)and liver and kidney function of the patients in two groups after treatment were not significantly difference(P > 0.05),and allergies and other adverse reactions were not found in the process of patients with drug.Conclusion: Therapeutic effect of Wenfei Jiangzhuo Prescription on vascular dementia is affirmative,and its mechanism may be related to the regulation of the levels of serum SOD,MDA of the patients.
