[objective]:To get the message of nutritional status of primary and middle school students in Yueyang, to get the information about the knowledge,attitude and practice(KAP) on nutrition,and to study diet factors'impact on body in order to put forward effective measures and provide scientific guidance for making corresponding policy and measures.[Methods]:The stratified multi-stage and cluster random sampling methods are developed with the researd of relevant policy,17 schools are selected randomly respectively,a total of 1370 students, all survey data were processed by statistical software SPSS20.0.[Results]:Students'dietary structure is relatively single, and they do not eat a wide variety of foods.The frequency of consumption of grain and vegetable is relatively high than meat.In general, consumption of animal food frequency is low,and the species is relatively not rich.Primary and middle school students'daily per capita energy consumption is lower than the reference intake, too little protein intake, low carbohydrate ratio of total energy and high fat ratio of total energy. Most of boys and girls'the vitamin and mineral intake is lower than the recommended intake. Overall, the girl nutrients intake situation is better than boys.Student's nutrition knowledge, attitude and behavior need to be improved.The average grade of nutrition knowledge of the investigated students is 52.6,gender, education level, father's level of education, family income, whether for the left-behind children and school meals have significant effects on nutritional knowledge.Attitude is 33.7, education level, father's level of education and the school dining nutrition attitudes have a significant effect on the students; Behavior is 68.0, economic development level, father's level of education and the school dining nutrition attitudes have significant effects on the students.[Suggestion]:Middle and primary school period is the key to the physical and mental development stage, the social from all walks of life should attach great importance to the students in this stage nutritional problems. Society, school and family work together to improve students' nutritional dietary conditions.
