Study Of The Clinical Efficacy Of Acupotomy Combined With Ozone Intra-articular Injection For The Treatment Of Knee Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis was first proposed by Garrod in 1890 [1].Knee Osteoarthritis is a chronic aseptic inflammation which is involved in articular cartilage,synovium and the surrounding articular tissue.It is also known as proliferative knee arthritis,senile knee arthritis,degenerative knee arthritis and hypertrophic knee arthritis.According to the classification of the American Rheumatology Association [2],KOA can be divided into primary and secondary categories;the exact cause of the former is not clear.Gender,age,occupation,race,gene,strain and other factors may be related.The later may be caused by knee injury,meniscus injury,intra-articular or peri-articular fractures,joint ligament injury,congenital malformations or joint infections.Clinical manifestations of the disease can be knee pain,especially when it is burdened,joint stiffness,limited mobility,intra-articular friction,muscle atrophy,joint deformities and other symptoms.And severe cases can lead to lower limb disability.A survey shows that the prevalence of OA among people over the age of 60 is up to50%,over 75,80%.Of which 20% to 30% of them have clinical symptoms,and the disability rate is as high as 53% [3].There are statistics showing that in the worldwide,the disability rate of knee osteoarthritis ranks eleventh [4].The physical and mental harm to the patient brought by knee osteoarthritis is self-evident.So the effective treatment for the disease is particularly critical.At present,the treatment methods include: physical therapy,drug therapy,surgical treatment,acupotomy minimally invasive therapy,intra-articular injection therapy,traditional Chinese medicine treatment,cartilage or chondrocyte therapy,gene therapy and so on.Long-term oral drug treatment has side effects and drug resistance problems.Surgical treatment is mainly for serious illness,but it has high cost,large risk,and the relatively long rehabilitation time is another drawback.Compared with the above mentioned treatments,traditional Chinese medicine treatment is a Green,safe and effective therapy,and it is widely used in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis.But there are also some problems such as long treatment period,and the effect is not lasting and so on.Clinically,one treatment or combined therapy is chosen,depending on the patient's condition.At present,acupotomy combined with ozone,sodium hyaluronate and other treatment for knee arthritis have been widely used.Through the improvement of treatment programs,there have been good curative effects.This thesis is based on the existing research and it further explores the clinical efficacy of acupotomy combined with ozone intra-articular injection for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis.Research purposeTo observe the clinical efficacy of acupotomy combined with ozone intra-articular injection for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis.Research methodA total of 60 patients with single knee osteoarthritis were selected from the outpatient department of Rehabilitation Center of Taihe Hospital of Shiyan City.The patients were single blindly divided into two groups according to the random number table.Each group has 30 cases.There were no statistically significant differences in age,sex,duration of disease and other general data between the two groups before treatment(p> 0.05).The two groups had comparability.And informed consents were signed.The patients of the treatment group were treated with acupotomy combined with ozone intraocular injection: first,the aucupotomy treatment and then ozone intra-articular injection.The next treatment is implemented after a 7-day interval.And this is one course of treatment.The patients of the control group were treated with acupotomy release treatment for 1 courses of treatment.The pain and dysfunction of the knee joint were scored by the knee pain score VAS scale and the knee joint function score Lysholm scale.The condition of the patients after the one courses of treatment ?ResultThere are good curative effect for both treatment group and control group.The effective rate was 93.33% in the treatment group and 76.67% in the control group.The effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(p <0.05).(p <0.05),which showed that the curative effect of acupotomy combined with ozone intra-articular injection treatment was more effective in the treatment of KOA.ConclusionThe treatment for the treatment group and the control group can both relieve the symptoms of knee osteoarthritis and improve their daily mobility.However the acupotomy combined with ozone intra-articular injection treatment of knee osteoarthritis is better than the acupotomy surgery.So it is worthy of clinical use.
