Objective: To observe the clinical efficiency of ovulation obstacle infertility patients according to some objective indicators such as endometrial thickness, type, uterine artery flow index and adverse reactions after treatment by letrozole tablets alone or combining traditional Chinese medicine cyclic therapy. In order to obtain a safe, effective and reasonable ovulation program for ovulation obstacle infertility patients. Methods: 60 cases of ovulation obstacle infertility were randomly divided into A and B groups.30 cases of group A were given Chinese medicine and letrozole while 30 cases of group B were only given letrozole. In mid-luteal phase and human chorionic gonadotropin(HCG)injection day,the endometrial thickness, type, uterine artery blood flow resistance index and Pulsating index,as well as the ovulation rate and pregnancy outcome including clinical pregnancy rate, biochemical pregnancy rate, ectopic pregnancy rate and not pregnant rate were compared between group A and B after 1 course of treatment which Contains three menstrual cycles.Results:(1)There was no statistically significant difference in age and times and type of infertility between the two groups(P>0.05).(2)The ovulation rate of group Aand B is 87.50% and 50.00% respectively, suggesting that ovulation rate of group A is significantly higher than group B(P<0.05).(3)The endometrial thickness of group A and B is 8.32±1.12 mmand 6.89±0.98 mm respectively in HCG injection day, suggesting that endometrial of group A has significant become thicker(P<0.05).The pulsating index(PI)and resistance index(RI)of the uterine artery in group A are 1.25±0.12 and 0.50±0.09,while group B is 1.55±0.17 and 0.60±0.08.This result indicates the PI and RI of the uterine artery in group A are significantly decrease(P<0.05).(4)The rate of type A of endometrium in group A and B is69.40% and 36.80%,suggesting that of type A rate of endometrium of group A is significantly higher than group B(P<0.05).(5)The endometrial thickness of group A and B is 11.92±1.23 mm and 8.21±1.45 mm respectively in mid-luteal phase, suggesting that endometrial of group A has significant become thicker(P<0.05).The pulsating index(PI)and resistance index(RI)of the uterine artery in group A are 1.02±0.08 and 0.35±0.01,while group B is1.37±0.11 and 0.50±0.03.This result indicates the PI and RI of the uterine artery in group A are significantly decrease(P<0.05).(6)The rate of type A of endometrium in group A and B is 76.40%and38.20%,suggesting that of type A rate of endometrium of group A is significantly higher than group B(P<0.05).(7)Relative numbers of clinical pregnancy, biochemical pregnancy, ectopic pregnancy and not pregnantare are 14(46.70%),4(13.30%),1(3.30%)and 11(36.70%)in group A while 5(16.70%),6(20.00%),2(6.60%)and 17(56.70%)in group B.Notably, the pregnancy rate of group A are significantly higher than group A(P<0.05).Conclusions:TCM cyclic therapy may improve endometrial receptivity through changing endometrial thickness, endometrial type and uterine artery blood flow.It can increase pregnancy rate and the clinical effect is more excellent than using letrozole only.Taken together, the results of the present study suggest that TCM cyclic therapy is obviously effective for endometrial receptivity of ovulation obstacle infertility.
