Clinical Study About Ovulation Action Of The Acupuncture Cycle Therapy In Anovulatory Diseases

ObjectiveThe study selects acupoints in different physiological period according to the Feminine Menstrual cycle and dialectal phases, discussing the feasibility and the effect of Acupuncture Cycle Therapy and Luo's Ovulation Promoting Tang (LOPT) for Anovulatory diseases. The study aims to add a method for clinical treatment of Anovulatory diseased, and provide a reliable objective basis.Method60 patients met the inclusion criteria were chosen from the No.1 affiliated hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese medicine to be the subject of the study. The recruited patients were randomized into two groups, with 30 cases in the treatment group and 30 cases in the control group. The treatment group received LOPT therapy combined with Acupuncture Cycle therapy. The control group received LOPT therapy. After three menstrual cycles, the researcher observes overall curative effect, the ovulation rate, the ovarian follicle diameter, BBT and the pregnancy rate etc. The outcomes were compared using statistics methods to determine therapy effect differences.ResultAfter receiving the treatment for three menstrual cycles, the total effect was 86% for the treatment group and 60% for the control group. There were significant differences in the curative effect. It shows that the treatment group curative effect is higher than the control group. There were significant differences in Ovulation Rate,the ovarian follicle diameter and BBT. There was no significant difference in pregnancy rate between two groups.ConclusionThe Acupuncture Cycle therapy and LOPT have better ovulation effect: promoting ovarian follicle growth, increasing the ovulation rate and re-gulating the menstrual cycle.
