Objective:The purpose of the present study was to develop and validate a scale of Yin deficiency and Excessive heat scale,in order to suit Chinese nursing evualation,and a pply an easy assessment tool for type of diabetes identificationn of traditional Chinese m edicine for further studies.Method:(1)The research adopts literature research joint 2 rounds of expert Delphi enquiry method,a preliminary plan for diabetes and Yin deficiency syndrome nursing assessment scale hotness item pool,A total of 210 patients with diabetes were collected by means of clinical research for genernal condition and four diagnosis of TCM,and were applied trend of discrete method,degree of differentiation analysis method,correlation coefficient method,Crowns Bach's coefficient method and factor analysis to screening of entries,while accompanied symptoms screening by frequency analysis,the degree of differentiation analysis,correlation analysis and Crowns Bach's coefficient method.(2)Empowerment with subjective and objective factor analysis method,and the establishment of the ROC curve method is adopted to improve the diagnostic threshold.(3)To examine the reliability and validity for the assessment scale.Result:(1)Through the subjective and objective methods,finally established Yin deficiency syndrome and excessive heat scale of diabetes,Yin deficiency syndrome and excessive heat include 18 items,and damp heat syndrome include 7 items,and the blood stasis syndrome include 3 items.(2)the scale set up model envulation for Yin defiency and excessive heat,and cut point was 241.(3)the scale proved to be a reliable and valid instrument.Retest reliability of Yin deficiency syndrome and excessive heat was 0.784,retest reliability of damp heat syndrome is 0.898,retest reliability of blood stasis syndrome was 0.826.The split-half reliability for the Yin deficiency syndrome and excessive heatwas 0.832,The split-half reliability for the damp heat syndrome was 0.712,The split-half reliability for the blood stasis syndrome was 0.705.The Cronbach's alpha for the the Yin deficiency syndrome and excessive heat was 0.835,The Cronbach's alpha for thedamp heat syndrome was 0.708,The Cronbach's alpha for the the blood stasis syndrome was 0.712.The content validity of the scale and the subscale was range from 0.83 to 1.Conlusions:The results of this study suggest that scale is a reliable and valid instrument for evaluating Yin deficiency syndrome and Heat excess.
