Objective:To study the role of Yangxue Xifeng tang on Tic disorder behaviors and sex hormone expressions of TD model mice. To explore its clinical effectiveness and possible mechanism to Children Tic disorders. To provide experimental evidences for clinical application of Yangxue Xifeng tang therapy in the treatment of Tic disorders.Method:the 70 mice were randomly divided into 10 blank group and the 60 model group. The control group mice for 7 consecutive days after intraperitoneal inject-tion of IDPN.50 mice successfully selected as the model, along with 10 normal mice were divided into 6 groups:model group, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) high dose group, TCM medium dose group, TCM low dose group, tiapride group and blank group,One group has 10 mice. After 4 weeks pharmacotherapy, mice in each group, their independent active number of times, inactive behaviors, and serum concentrations of estradiol (E2), testosterone (T) and prolactin (PRL) were detected and compared. Results:Compared with the blank group, the IDPN induced TD mice were significant on the increase of inactive behaviors score and independent active number of times. After four weeks pharmacotherapy, compared with the blank group, there was no significant difference in inactive behaviors between the TCM medium dose group and the western medicine group. Compared with the model group, the TCM medium dose group and the western medicine group were significant on the reduction of independent activity times. Compared with the blank group, the model group was significant on the increase of testosterone (T) while on the reduction of estradiol (E2) and prolactin (PRL). After four weeks pharmacotherapy, compared with the model group, the TCM group of Yangxue Xifeng tang and the western medicine group were significant on the reduction of testosterone (T). Compared with the model group, the TCM group of Yangxue Xifeng tang was significant on the increase of estradiol (E2). Compared with the model group, the TCM medium dose group, the TCM low dose group of Yangxue Xifeng tang and the western medicine group were significant on the increase of prolactin (PRL)?Conclusion:1. The serum sex hormones are unbalanced in IDPN induced TD mice.2. Yangxue Xifeng tang is able to improve the inactive behaviors and independent activities of TD mice.3. Yangxue Xifeng tang can reduce the concentrations of testosterone (T) while increase the concentrations of estradiol (E2) and prolactin4. The mechanism realization of Yangxue Xifeng tang possibly lies in the sex hormones balance adjustment.
