Objective:To refine the understanding of etiology and pathogenesis of arrhythmia that Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) caused chronic pulmonary heart disease by observing the clinical efficacy of Wind Yang Xin Tang in patients with COPD and chronic pulmonary heart disease. To curb the deterioration of COPD and pulmonary heart arrhythmia and provide relevant basis by observing the effects of Yang Xin Tang wind in treatment of COPD and its arrhythmia.Mthods:1. Overview the theory of "wind-induced palpitate", combined with the summary of "vacuity" on chronic pulmonary heart disease by ancient TCM expert. Summary the study of "lung inflation, " "Asthma" in the "Wind", "empty", "sputum", "hot" by modern TCM expert. Introduce the clinical experience of Principal and the Secondary Aspects of "lung inflation"2.60 patients met the inclusion criteria were investigated by a randomized clinical trial program. The patients were divide into 30 cases in treatment group (western medicine routine treatment+Yangxin Wind soup) and 30 cases in control group(western medicine routine treatment+ propafenone) according to the wishes of patients, a course of 14 days. Record and score clinical symptoms and signs of change during the treatment, dynamic ECG before and after treatment, blood routine, liver and kidney function, urination and defecation and other physical and chemical examination take before and after the treatment, clinical efficacy were compared before and after treatment, validity determination of supraventricular premature beat reduction rates, liver and kidney function changes were compared for safety assessment.3. After the clinical observation, SPSS 13.0 was used for statistics analysis.Results:1. The gender, age and number between two groups were not statistically significant (P>0 05). The averaged index of treatment group was 0.7301 ±0.1879, and the control group was 0.5867+0.1756, there was statistically significant (P<0.05). After treatment, on the symptoms and signs of improvement,11 cases markedly effective,15 cases effective,4 cases ineffective, the total efficiency was 58.67% in control group; 12 cases markedly effective,15 cases effective,3 cases in effective, the total efficiency was 73.01% in treatment group, there was statistically significant (P<0.05).2. The dynamic ECG changes:before and after the treatment, premature reduction rate was statistically significant different. After treatment, an average of supraventricular premature beats was 2864.87 ± 2740.83 in control group,1335.20+1895.87 in treatment group, there was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion:1, Short-term effect comparison:clinical efficacy was different in treatment group and control group, suggesting that Yangxin Xifeng Tang is better than western medicine treatment in the improvement of COPD Cor arrhythmia.2, Compared with signs of change:There is no difference in treatment group and control group, suggesting that Yangxin Xifeng Tang is better than western medicine treatment in the improvement of COPD Cor arrhythmia signs.3, Dynamic ECG changes comparison:The treatment of ventricular arrhythmias have significant effect, there was different in treatment group and control group, suggesting that Yangxin Xifeng Tang is better than western medicine treatment in arrhythmia control.4, Safety Assessment:There was no drug reactions in this study, can be further developed formulations for clinical trials.
