Objectives Through Observing distribution situation of depression outpatients in Liu Yujie Workroom, including gender, age, occupation, education degree, place of residence and average household income, and influence factors as well, TCM syndrome types of depression were studied, together with relation between the syndromes and the factors, to provide reference for clinical prevention of depression occurs, and provide objective evidence for treatment on depression based on syndrome differentiation.Methods effective cases were collected from Liu Yujie workroom during May 1, 2014 and September 30, 2015. 440 cases were diagnosed as depression according to the SDS, HAMD and standard. General information and TCM diagnosis information was gathered, which included patient's age, occupation, cultural degree, then information database was established, SPSS 21 software package for frequency analysis, cluster analysis of data, nonparametric test statistics was used, and finally summary and study the TCM syndrome distribution and general information(parity, age, operation mode)correlation.Results After 440 cases were analysed, it was found that: 1 342 cases were women, accounting for 77.7%; middle-aged and old(45-59) of 267 patients with 83.5%; 209 cases were with the education level of high schools accounting for 47.5%; 148 cases were Staff members accounting for 33.7%; married persons account for 80.5%; people with an income 2000-3000 per month account for 85.2%; 188 were onset of spring accounting for 42.7%; Patients with somatic disease for 291 people, accounting for 66.1%; 274 patients lived in residence accounting for 62.3%; Mild depression patients were 340 accounting for 77.3%. 2 Among the 440 depression patients, the liver Phlegm syndrome account for 54.54% which is the most common one, followed by Obstructive cardinalate of Shaoyang syndrome(23.63%) liver Qi stagnation and spleen deficieney(10.45%), heart and spleen deficieney syndrome(4.54%), liver Qi stagnation(3.18%), Liver and kidney Yin deficiency syndrome(3.63%). Depression patients with different TCM syndromes distribution and the gender, age, onset of season, somatic disease showed significant difference(P?0.05), and the place of residence, marital status, occupational factors, culture degree, the average monthly family income, the degree of depression had no statistical significance(P > 0.05).Conclusions 1 Among the 440 depression patients, women, middle-aged and old, married, family average monthly income of less than RMB 2000-3000, the onset of spring, middle school degree, workers and staff members, body disease, living in city had a high morbidity rate,the most patients are diagonised with mild depression. 2 Among the TCM syndrome of 440 depression patients, the liver Phlegm syndrome is the most common one, followed by Obstructive cardinalate of Shaoyang syndrome, liver Qi stagnation and spleen deficieney, heart and spleen deficieney syndrome, liver Qi stagnation,Liver and kidney Yin deficiency syndrome. 3 Depression patients with different TCM syndromes distribution and the sex, gender, onset of season, somatic diseasethe incentives showed significant difference(P?0.05), and the place of residence, marital status, culture degree, the average monthly family income, the degree of depression, occupational factors has no statistical significance(P > 0.05).
