In this study,the incidence of depression associated with renal cell carcinoma(hereinafter referred to as kidney cancer),related risk factors,and TCM syndrome types were studied to compare the differences in TCM syndrome types between renal cancer depression and non-depressive patients,which is related to kidney cancer.Syndrome differentiation of sexual depression,TCM pathogenesis theory of TCM treatment of kidney cancer and clinical research of integrated TCM and western medicine,provide theoretical and clinical data basis.MethodsThe collected cases were 142 patients with kidney cancer who met with the tutor clinic and oncology ward for the first time in Guanganmen Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences from December 1,2017 to December 31,2019.Using a prospective research method,patients need to fill out the Health Questionnaire Depression Self-Assessment Scale(PHQ-9),Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale(HADS-D)and kidney cancer patient syndrome data collection form,and enter the information into an Excel table to establish a database.SPSS 20.0 software package was used to process and analyze the collected data.Results1 Of the 142 kidney cancer patients surveyed in this study,84 had concurrent depression and the incidence was 59.15%.Among them,36 were mildly depressed(25.35%);27 were moderately depressed(19.01%);14 were moderately and severely depressed(9.86%);7 were severely depressed(4.93%).2 In the multivariate logistic regression analysis of renal cancer related factors,age(P=0.003,OR=1.869,95%CI[1.234,2.831]),previous medical history(P=0.000,OR=7.864,95%CI)[3.032,20.396]),personal monthly income(P=0.001,OR=4.264,95%CI[1.884,9.651])was positively correlated with depression tendency;whether surgery(P=0.007,OR=0.248,95%CI[0.091,0.678]),informed status(P=0.016,OR=0.231,95%CI[0.071,0.759])was negatively correlated with depression tendency.3 The results of the TCM syndrome typing study of kidney cancer complicated with depression in this study are as follows:Yang deficiency syndrome(66.67%),phlegm-condensation syndrome(53.57%),dampness syndrome(52.38%),Qi stagnation syndrome(50.00%),Qi deficiency syndrome(48.81%),blood stasis syndrome(28.57%),blood deficiency syndrome(19.05%),Yin deficiency syndrome(10.71%),Tianjin deficiency syndrome(8.33%),Fine deficiency syndrome(7.14%),blood cold syndrome(5.95%),real cold syndrome(2.38%),water stop certificate(2.38%),drinking stop certificate(2.38%),gas inversion Syndrome(accounting for 1.19%),no real heat syndrome,blood-heat syndrome;the results of TCM syndrome classification of patients with renal cancer non-depression are:Yang deficiency syndrome(75.86%),phlegm coagulation syndrome(53.45%),Qi deficiency syndrome(51.72%),dampness syndrome(44.83%),blood stasis syndrome(32.76%),stagnation syndrome(27.59%),blood deficiency syndrome(15.52%),Tianjin deficiency syndrome(Accounting for 10.34%),Yin deficiency syndrome(accounting for 8.62%),4 cases of fine deficiency syndrome(accounting for 6.90%),water stop certificate(accounting for 5.17%),drinking stop(accounting for 3.45%),blood cold syndrome(accounting for 3.45%)),real heat syndrome(1.72%),qi inverse syndrome(1.72%),blood heat syndrome(1.72%),real cold syndrome(1.72%).4 The depression group and non-depression group of kidney cancer have statistically significant difference in Qi stagnation syndrome,P<0.01,there is no statistical difference in the rest syndrome type,P>0.05.Conclusion1 The occurrence of kidney cancer-related depression is negatively correlated with age,surgery,personal monthly income,and informed status,and positively correlated with previous history;kidney cancer-related depression has a higher incidence,mainly mild to moderate depression.2 The symptom distribution of patients with kidney cancer-related depression is mainly Yang deficiency syndrome,phlegm coagulation syndrome,dampness syndrome,and qi stagnation syndrome,of which the most are Yang deficiency syndrome,and there is a certain degree of qi stagnation syndrome and the incidence of kidney cancer depression.Relevance,the depression group of kidney cancer had a higher proportion of patients with stagnation syndrome than non-depressive patients.
