Objective To observe the clinical effect of treatment of COPD(slationary phase)complicated with malnutrition in elderly patients with Peitu Shengjin Recipe,and to explore its mechanism.Methods Selecting 62 cases of elderly patients with COPD(slationary phase)complicated with malnutrition,31 cases are randomly divided into control group,and 31 patients in the treatment group.The control group is given compound nutrition suspensions,while the treatment group receives compound nutrition suspensions combined with Peitu Shengjin Recipe.4 weeks for a course of treatment,after 3 courses of treatment,observing the changes in both groups in terms of respiratory function,nutrition indicators and clinical symptoms before and after treatment.Result The total efficiency of treatment group is 86.67%, while the total effective rate of control group was 66.67%.Serum albumin, serum total protein, lymphocyte count, body mass index, arm muscle circumference and triceps skin-fold thickness of patients in the treatment group are significantly improved than before treatment,and the results have statistical significance(P<0.05 or P<0.01).except serum total protein,comparison between two groups,the curative effect of the treatment group is better than that of the control group, and having significant difference(P<0.05 or P<0.01).After treatment,CAT scores and TCM syndrome scores are significantly lower than before in treatment group with significant difference(P<0.01),and the curative effect is better than that of the control group(P<0.05 or P<0.01).After treatment, 6 minutes walking distance increases greatly in the treatment group,with significant difference in the group.(P<0.01).Also,the curative effect is better than that of the control group(P<0.01). Within group comparison,there is a significant difference in FEV1 and FEV1/FVC of patients in the treatment group(P<0.01).Further more,the curative effect is better than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Based on the treatment of compound nutrition suspension,Peitu Shengjin Recipe can improve the nutritional status of elderly patients with COPD(slationary phase)with malnutrition,improve immunity, enhance active stamina,reduce severity of the disease.So the development of the disease can be controlled and the quality of life can be improved for the elderly patients. |
