Clinical Research Of The Effects Of Toutong Erhao Decoction On Chronic Tension-type Headache(Blood-deficiency And Liver-yang Hyperactivity Syndrome)

Object: To observe the effects of Toutong Erhao decoction on the patients suffering from chronic tension-type headache( Blood-deficiency and Liver-yang hyperactivity syndrome)and preliminary explore the mechanism,the etiology and pathogenesis of chronic tension-type headache,so as to find new ideas and effective prescriptions.Methods:There were 32 patients were randomly divided into the observation group(Toutong Erhao decoction-group,n=17)and control group(Yangxue Qingnao Keli-group,n=15). Both were treated for 30 days, and the improvement were observed before and after treatment,which concludes symptoms,physical signs and safety index.Results:1. The statistic analysis revealed that Toutong Erhao decoction is effective to cure chronic tension-type headache(P<0.05). The improvement of self rating Anxiety Scale(SAS) and Depression Scale(SDS) scores of the observation group were higher than the other group.2. All accompanied signs and symptoms improved in the text group was better than the other group, which upset irritability(P<0.01), dizziness and dreaminess(P<0.05).Conclusion: The Toutong Erhao decoction could evidently relieve headache and tension and anxiety, and improve the accompanying symptoms.
