Canine babesiosisis a tick borne blood protozoiasis which is widely distributed in the world. The prevalent pathogens in Asia are Babesia gibsoniand Babesia vogeli.Clinical symptoms include depression, anorexia, fever, anemia, yellowurine,or visualizationmucosapale. In recent years, with the increasing number of companion animals in our country, the incidence of the disease is increasing year by year,However, most of the data on the spread, geographic distribution, clinical symptoms, treatment and prevention of canine babesiosis are based on a single clinical case, which lack of representation. This study discusses the diagnose, treatment and prognosis of 20 cases infected Babesia Gibsoni dogs which were collected in kangxu Pet Hospital from September 2016 to January 2017,aiming at researching comprehensively and discussing the diagnosis, treatment, which could provide reference for the further study of the clinical data of canine babesiosis in China. In this paper, the suspected cases of canine babesiosis were diagnosed by clinicaldiagnosis(Fever, yellow urine, visible mucosa pale or jaundice, splenomegaly),whole blood cell count(The RBC,HGB,HCT,and PLT values dropped),blood smear(a lots of Babesia Gibsoni can be seen in the erythrocyte),assisted biochemical examination(elevated liver enzyme markers)to assess liver function. Finally, during the internship period,20 dogs were diagnosed with canine babesiosis.Using diminazene, imidocarb, clindamycin, combined with blood transfusion and other symptomatic treatment for clinical treatment of canine babesiosis. After treatment,19 cases of dogs were cured, and 1 cases died of pancreatitis. The results showed that the diagnosis of canine Babesia gibsoni infection could be confirmed by laboratory examination, whole blood cell count, biochemical examination and blood smear examination.Through the joint adaptation of diminazene, imidocarb, clindamycin and combined with symptomatic treatment and supportive therapy can obtain good therapeutic effect.
