A Study On The Literati Tea Space And Its Contemporary Value In Jiangnan In The Late Ming Dynasty

The aesthetic taste of the literati showed the characteristics of nature,pureness and simplicity in Jiangnan in the late Ming Dynasty.They projected it on the pursuit of tea space environmental quality and constructed the literati tea space with unique aesthetic implication.With the tide of aesthetic and art of life inscresingly rising,‘literati tea space’ has been transformed into a meaningful symbol of performance in the contemporary.It expresses a group of common values,beliefs and expectations.Especially under the impact of the contemporary Western leisure concept,people not only realize the freedom of leisure,but also get a sense of belonging to a culture in the tea space.Especially under the impact of the contemporary Western leisure culture,people not only realize the freedom of leisure,but also get a sense that belonging to a culture there.As a vivid practice in traditional Chinese design,the literati tea space in Jiangnan in the Late Ming makes big sense in the present.Through the multilevel analysis of literati tea space in Jiangnan in the late Ming Dynasty,this paper generalizes its characteristics of spatial form,supporting elements,design method,aesthetic thinking and so on.Then,this paper further points out that it has a certain cultural value and design reference in contemporary society and illustrates how to transform and apply its design elements and practices to create the literati tea space which in accordance with aesthetic characteristics in contemporary by examples.
