The Study Of The Contemporary Neo-Chinese Architecture

After 20 years of development of the neo-Chinese architecture since the 1980 s,it has emerged a large number of architectures and architects.After entering the new century,a qualitative change has taken place in the neo-Chinese architecture compared to the early stage.In a sense,the development of the neo-Chinese architecture has entered a new stage with numberous new buildings.But unfortunately in the field of theoretical research,the contemporary construction of the neo-Chinese architecture has always been a blank.The development of the contemporary neo-Chinese architecture also reached a "crossroads" : what are the development of the contemporary neo-Chinese architecture to be.History is the best teacher.In western architecture,the neo-classicism architecture is the combination of modern and tradition,which shares a great similarity with the early stage of development of the neo-Chinese architecture.This paper attempts to stand in the height of the neo-classicism to look at the development of the neo-Chinese architecture,and to draw its beneficial enlightenment and experience to serve the contemporary neo-Chinese architecture practice.Based on the above ideas,this article in the introduction part elaborates the research background and direction,and limits the object of research.In the second chapter firstly discusses general development and design strategies of the neo-classicism architecture and the neo-Chinese architecture respectively,then comes up with a comparative study of the two above in order to draw experience and enlightenment from the neo-classicism.The third chapter which is based on the contrastive study of the second chapter discusses the contemporary development situation and design strategy of the neo-Chinese architecture.The fourth chapter is looking to present current situation and making some reflections and evaluations.This paper inspires new thinking of the neo-Chinese architecture development through the contrast research.It also devotes to making research on the development status of the contemporary neo-Chinese architecture,in order to contribute to improve theory system of the contemporary neo-Chinese architecture on my own strength.
