| The urban sports venues in China have taken a variety of changes on many levels such as total construction,building volume and architectural design from the 1950 s to the 2010 s period due to changes in sports policy and the unique sports system in China.While facing the sports policy requirements in different decades and the functional requirements from different sports systems for stadiums,the architects must combine the architectural design concepts under historical conditions at that time,with the layout of the buildings,functions,structure selection,space and form.Meanwhile,for Nanjing only has fewer sporting events not lower than national level than Beijing,Shanghai and Guangzhou,studying its representative sports venues can understand the relationship between sports policy,sports system and stadium development from one side.Based on the sports policy,sports system and urban gymnasium design from 1950 to 2010,this study researches the total amount,construction scale,design concept,function setting and structure of stadiums and gymnasiums in terms of policies and systems to clarify the development of domestic sports venues during this time period.At the same time,four representative cases in Nanjing,Wutaishan Stadium,Wutaishan Stadium,Longjiang Stadium,and Nanjing Olympic Sports Center Stadium,were studied in detail in directions of regional location,historical background,layout,space design,form design,stand design,structure and materials selection to find out the characteristics of stadiums and gymnastics,and attempt to reveal the development history of stadiums and gymnastics in Chinese architecture.The paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter introduces the construction of stadiums in provincial cities and municipalities from 1950 to 2010 under the sports system.It also states the basis for the study,the research significance and the research methods.Chapters 2 to 4 carry out research in three areas,namely the construction of sports facilities in China(1950s-2010s),the case study of Nanjing stadium and gymnastics(1950s-2010s)and the reconstruction of contemporary sports venues under the conditions of urban renewal.The second chapter is divided into three parts,which are the analysis of the sports policy evolution,the organizational structure of sports system,and the structure and form relationship of stadiums and gymnasiums.The third chapter is an in-depth study of the representative the four stadiums and gymnastics in Nanjing.The fourth chapter is about the research and design of Wutaishan Stadium transformed into a professional football field under the conditions of urban renewal.Based on the above content,the conclusions of the paper are especially the historical changes in stadium space design,function allocation,structural selection and material selection,etc.,which are influenced by the interaction of sports policy,sports system,and designer,presented in Nanjing stadium and gymnastics. |
