From Scene To Site

This paper sorts out the theory of "Site","Scene" and "Place",in which the scene is regarded as the link between the "site" and "place".It focuses on the construction of the scene to solve the problem of lacking site design methods and rebuilding the relationship between buildings and sites.Through the interpretation of the classic cases,the design operation is extracted and condensed,forming effective design methods.The key point of the paper is to construct the theory system and operation methods based on the scene analysis.There are three aspects discuss it.Firstly,the intention of the scene can be summarized into four aspects: topography,architecture,landscape and events.Secondly,the site is divided into node space,transitional space and boundary space.The relationship between architectural layout and dynamic sequence is analyzed by the means of field investigation and graphic analysis.The paper analyzes the methods of vertical stratification,interface decomposition,and entity resolution and summarizes the strategies of route folding,interface tilt and so on.Finally,the scene types are classified according to behavior and space patterns,and the design elements are divided into fixed elements,semi fixed elements and non-fixed elements.And the strategies of unframed scenery and set up optical device are summarized,optimizing the visual scene.The scene is regarded as the carrier of genius loci,which expands the field of site research as well as the concept of site design.And proposes the design strategies based on the life scene.This research strengthens the connection between site and place,and it also optimizes the systematic method of site design.
