Scene Simulation is a key branch of computer simulation, whose application tomonitoring and safety gaurdance of satellite launching is a precedent in Chinese satellitelaunching sites and consequently has great signification on the modelization of thewhole national satellite launching.This paper is supported by a subsytem of a national 863 Plan granted Project, the 3DScene Simulation System of the Satellite Launching Site and Rocket Launching. XichangSatellite Launch Site is the object of this system, which aims to build a general 3Dscene simulation platform for satellite launching sites and satellite launching, andaccordingly assists satellite launching tasks such as execution, monitoring andemergency decision-making in the launching sites.This paper gives a full demand analysis of the system, builds general framework modelsof scene simulation systems including structure model, computing model and C/Smodel; solves multi-task scheduling problems with the implement of multi-threadingtechnology and particularly proposes task pattern to minimine the interaction betweenscene rendering thread and other threads, which enchances its geneal utilization value;Based on deep comparisons and analyses, MultiGen Creator/Vega were determined asthe main scene development tools of the system.Furthermore, on the basis of MultiGen Creator/Vega, this paper offers an elaboratediscussion on the core scene simulation technology, 3D modeling and scene renderingand also builds their geneal technique route. What's more, realtime speciality andeasy-for-use of these tools excellently make true of important functions of the system.Finally, this paper presents the completed construction of the system, hardwares andsoftwares as well. This system was given a test operation on the real launching task.And the system performance is unexpectedly excellent and indicates the success of thesystem development.In a word, many methods proposed in this paper and the system itself have strongflexibilities and reusabilities. As a result, they have great value on the layout of thesatellite launching sites and the development of other 3D scene simulation systems.
