| The fundamental meaning of urbanization is to realize the urbanization of population, under the background of urban-and-rural dual economic and social development, fluid population has become a special group in China society nowadays.Speeding up the process of urbanization is the inevitable requirement of promoting urbanization.China’s urbanization rate has reached up to 57.4% by the year of 2016,and it shows a trend of increasingly rising year by year, indicating that China’s urban population will continue to increase even far more than the rural population,It also shows that there are a large number of urban new immigrants in the city.In recent years, with the development and growth of such a large new immigrant group, urban residential space has met up with great pressure,in order to alleviate such pressure, gathering areas begin to emerge in several big cities all over China to standardize the residential way of immigrant people. And it has gradually become a special residential unit for new immigrants’ centralized residence and centralized management. However, the author found that the existing residential area in Suzhou City is not ideal, and there is a gap between the different new immigrant groups and the indigenous people(citizens).Public space plays the role of carrying varieties of social public relations,it’s the tool of promoting social integration and participation in social improvement. As an important carrier of the new immigrant social interaction, public space of the residential area is different from some urban public space, and the former needs to be targeted designed.Based on the above problems, this paper takes the new immigrants’ accommodation as the main research object to meet the demand of public activities of different new immigrants as the starting point of the study.Four typical residential areas in Suzhou are selected as the research cases and fully excavated to summarize Current Situation and Existing Problems of Public Activity Space. On the basis of this, the author uses the methods of observation investigation and questionnaires to study the public relations of the disadvantaged groups-new immigrants and collectively in the urban areas, and tries to explore the activities of the main body(new immigrants)from the perspective of the new immigrants special needs. The survey found that the public needs of new immigrants are various, especially in the social public relations activities, they are eager to integrate into urban society. The spatial deprivation and injustice in the process of the development of the new immigrant residential area have led to the lack of monotonousness of the public space in the residential area and the lagging of the surrounding infrastructure. There are many contradictions between the supply of new immigrant activities and the demand of new immigrants. Finally,by introducing the concept of inclusion, the design strategy and suggestions of inclusive public space are put forward from the aspects of material space and social space on the basis of theoretical and empirical combination, based on certain theoretical innovation significance.Through the inclusive design of the public space of the new immigrant residential area,it can meet the special needs of the different use of the main body, and promote the mutual exchanges between the new immigrants and their social integration, eventually building a harmonious society, contributing greatly to the new urbanization construction and the steady development of the urbanization of Suzhou city. |
