The Research On Protection And Renewal Of Traditional Architect Ure In The Ancient City Of Zhijiang,Xiangxi

Throughout the history,the traditional architecture as a carrier of traditional culture,has recorded the historic development and evolution of different parts of the world.However,with the rapid development of society,the traditional Chinese architecture is inevitably faced with the increasingly declining situation,with a series of high-volume rate modern architecture gradually replacing the traditional ones.Therefore,the protection and renewal of traditional buildings become a hot issue nowadays.The ancient city of Zhijiang Xiangxi gained its name from the beautiful lines in Nine Songs of The Poetry of Chu,Lady Xiang written by Quyuan,saying that"Angelica dahuricas bloom in Yuanjiang River while fragrant thoroughworts aromatize Lijiang River"(Angelica dahurica spells as Zhi in Chinese).In 2005,it was awarded the provincial historical and cultural city.Because of its unique geographical location and cultural history,there still exist a lot of traditional buildings worthy of protection and research.Due to regional restrictions,unbalanced economic development and many other factors,less developed areas in China tend to have relatively superior preservation of traditional architecture.However,the lack of relevant information and thorough protection measures make it event more urgent for future generations to study and explore them,so that national culture can be passed down.This paper,on the one hand,systematically summarizes the traditional buildings in the ancient city of Zhijiang through analyzing the development of local traditional buildings and case studies.On the other hand,feasible protection and renewal strategies are put forward for the problems arising from the current situation,expecting to provide research material on the protection and renewal of traditional buildings.This paper is divided into five parts:The first part,the introduction,describes the research background,research significance,related concepts,research status,research methods and research framework,which provide a solid theoretical guidance and basis for the research.The second part mainly discusses the basic situation of the ancient city of Zhijiang,not only introduces its history,culture and geographic environment,but also studies its evolution in regional morphology and classifies all the traditional buildings here into categories.The third part analyzes the status quo of the traditional architecture of the ancient city of Zhijiang in detail,and presents the problems that need to be solved urgently.The fourth part raises relevant principles on protection and renewal of the ancient city according to the current situation and problems.This part researches on specific protection and renewal patterns and technological strategy to implement the protection and renewal measures.The fifth part is a concrete analysis on the protection and renewal practice of traditional architecture in the ancient city of Zhijiang for the purpose of sustainable development,including analyzing the plan on the scope of protection,stage plan on protection and renewal patterns,the building height control and case studies concerning renewal practices.
