With the wide development of the rural construction, more villages were involved into demolition and reconstruction, The protection and renewal of the traditional village dwellings is extremely urgent.Xiongyasuo ancient city located in Jimo Qingdao Shandong Provence,builted in Hongwu 35 years of Ming dynasty. At that time, it was one of the national coastal called“jiuweishibasuo”.For now, it is the one and only ancient city that be preserved complete in Shandong province, and enrolled in the first batch of Chinese Traditional Village as well as the fourth batch of historic village. By combining the nature, history and culture of Xiongyasuo, summarize and conclude the plan,elevation,details of dwelling construction in the city. And choose three well preserved ancient dwellings as example for instance analysis, in order to understand realistic condition of Xiongyasuo’s dwellings and also to analyze the objective problems that affect their development at the same time.“utilize without protect will lead destroy, protect without utilize also won’t continue ”, it only works with both of them. In this article, Xiongyasuo was positioned as the “living traditional village”, using dynamic protection and organic renewal method to plan and make sure the village will continue to “alive”. Highlight on the traditional living form,also showing its coastal defense in Ming dynasty, complete tourism facilities, make it become the main district of the T bay tourism development. From this point and combine the feature of the village, emphasize building function, style and environment from dwelling protect and renewal method. Complete function, harmomize style and changing live environment in the village, emphasize on village nature and make sure the village can be continually developed.The development of the traditional dwellings is not random, it has it own order and developed fairly slow. This decided that the protection and renewal will also be a long term process. All things are changing during develop,From the development point of view to understand that each planning or building is a middle action but not our final goal.
