For most of people,the kindergarten is the place where the life really starts to receiveeducation,at present,most of the kindergartens in our country have been advocating the concept of "Teacher centered,learning as the main purpose" for a long time.Now,the research on the design of the space environment is more and more closely linked with other disciplines,especially in the two fields of physiology and psychology.in the design,we should make full use of these two areas of theoretical research results,as the implementation of open education,child centered,comprehensive development of children for fundamental pursuit.Highlighting the status of children through the design of kindergarten unit space,to fully consider the different characteristics of senior,intermediate,junior,different classes of children,to create an adaptive unit space environment to develop their own talent and physical and mental development.So as to achieve the purpose of guiding children to pursue knowledge,love life and healthy growth,which is the practical problem of the paper.In this paper,firstly,as the characteristics of children's physical and psychological development and the basic theory analysis of the kindergarten space design for the research foundation,combined with the methods of literature induction,subject synthesis and case analysis.And then,based on the needs of children's behavior and psychology,to make an in-depth study on the main elements,which affecting the adaptability of unit space.To solve the unit space design problem of different age groups children's overall development needs.It is found that the scale grasp,the cognitive design,the situation planning,the color matching,the lighting design and the material selection are all closely related to the adaptability of unit space.Finally,taking the unit space design in the kindergarten project of Dalian University of Technology as an example,using the results of the above design elements to demonstrate the adaptability of the unit space environment at different ages.It provides some reference for the early childhood education space,at the same time,it enriches the existing theory of design,and reflects the comprehensive care of the state and society for the growth of children.
