| The building curtain wall is a kind of building outer apron composed of a panel and a supporting structure system and somewhat able to move relative to the main structure or deform on its own but not bear the effects of the main structure.Moreover,such curtain walls are widely used in modern architecture and especially high-rise buildings by virtue of light weight,good daylighting,fashionable modeling and other excellent characteristics.WBS is the group of project elements based on deliverable results summarizes and defines the scope of project.Each lower level represents a more detailed definition of project.As validation of design and construction scheme,building curtain wall testing must be completed before the on-site construction.However,this is an experimental process which may involve repeated modification of the curtain wall design and construction scheme-the process of re-testing until requirements are satisfied,so the process may spend large time.In this paper,the curtain wall testing project of Shenzhen Ping An IFC is taken as an example to carry out the relevant study subject.The study aims to ensuring the efficiency in the process of building curtain wall testing,shorten the time as far as possible on the premise of ensuring the testing quality,and thus shorten testing period and guarantee expected return via WBS model.It uses such theories as the WBS and PLM,and take the whole lifecycle of building curtain wall testing project(negotiation-commencement-implementation-completion)as the timeline to carry out comprehensive and complete work breakdown of the curtain wall testing of Shenzhen Ping An IFC;make WBS and the PLM organically combined,divide the large project work into smaller work packages,accordingly complete accurate estimation of the project costs and progress,formulate measures against possible problems or procedures in need of improvement,and use such project management tools as the Gantt chart,network planning technique and method of cost comparison to have effectively shortened the project period and effectively controlled the project costs and testing quality.The WBS established in this Paper can change the previous pattern of experience-based management,shorten the project period on the premise of ensuring excellent completion quality and no cost rise,and thus achieve the systematic and efficient management of the curtain wall testing project for large buildings.It’s for the first time in the country to combine WBS with building curtain wall testing.The management methods and ideas can be promoted to the whole testing of building curtain walls and even to the field of engineering quality test. |
