Building curtain wall is an important part of modern architecture and art form.The building curtain wall has many advantages,such as light weight,strong seismic performance,good decorative effect,etc.,so it is widely used in hotels,office buildings,stadiums and highrise and super-high-rise buildings.However,with the increasing application of building curtain wall,especially in high-rise buildings,some safety problems of building curtain wall are gradually revealed.The design and service life of general building curtain walls is 25 years.Since the introduction of building curtain walls in China in the 1980 s,the service life of early building curtain walls has been close to or even exceeded 25 years.More and more building curtain walls are in service beyond the specified period,and the safety problems are increasing day by day.This paper analyzes the causes of safety problems from the perspective of the whole life cycle of the curtain wall and studies the solutions to the safety problems of the curtain wall.The main research work is as follows:(1)Cause analysis of curtain wall safety problems.This paper summarizes and analyzes the main safety problems of the building curtain wall,analyzes the causes of five common safety problems of the building curtain wall,such as self-detonation of toughened glass,failure of metal connectors,failure of bonding materials,seepage of curtain wall and poor fire resistance,and puts forward the solutions to the safety problems of the whole life cycle of the building curtain wall.(2)Research on main safety issues in curtain wall design stage.The safety problems of glass curtain wall,stone curtain wall and metal curtain wall commonly encountered in the design process are studied,and the optimal safety design scheme of typical structure and components of curtain wall is studied through finite element simulation analysis.The problem of setting the side frame and the pressure block of the hidden frame glass curtain wall is studied deeply and the optimal setting scheme of the pressure block of the hidden frame glass curtain wall is obtained.The influences of hole position,hole depth,hole diameter and stone thickness on hole edge stress of stone curtain wall panel are simulated and analyzed.By simulating and analyzing the influence of the problem of rooting and not rooting,the form of section and layout of the reinforced ribs on the performance of the metal curtain wall,the optimal form of section and layout of the reinforced ribs of the metal curtain wall are obtained,and it is pointed out that the phenomenon of non-rooting of the reinforced ribs of the metal curtain wall should be avoided.(3)Research on safety issues in curtain wall construction,operation and maintenance.The main safety problems and preventive measures of panel material,support system and bond material during manufacture and construction were studied respectively.The measures to control the cracking of toughened glass are put forward from three aspects: stress concentration,homogenization treatment,fine production and construction.The environmental requirements of building curtain wall bonding material production are studied.It is pointed out that the effective methods to ensure the quality of bonding material are to ensure the environmental conditions of the workshop and to control the amount of plasticizer.The installation deviation of column and beam,bolt connection,deviation of embedded parts and other problems are analyzed.
