| Chaozhou traditional houses due to the geographical,cultural and political reasons,different from other domestic traditional houses."Chaozhou houses,palace style",refers to the exquisite of Chaozhou traditional houses.But with the development of city urbanization,lifestyle changes,people have continued to leave their own houses,and moved into the new residential.This thing has especially happened in the old city of Chaozhou.These traditional houses are vacant,or only have some old people living here,while carrying the crystallization of traditional culture and traditional crafts,occupying the city’s best position,but does not reflect the value.So these elegant and profound traditional houses are being left out to decline.With the development of city,the historic district in city have been concerned,the projects that make traditional neighborhoods into cultural landmark are more and more,such as Foshan Lingnan Tiandi,Chengdu Kuanzhai Alley,because of its location advantage and well preserved traditional space form,these places has been gradually transformed into exquisite cultural space.The orderly planning and the elaborate design does not let it lose its original cultural features.These traditional houses have combined with today’s needs and gained new vitality.There are large many of traditional houses in Chaozhou,especially in the old city.Due to the blind transformation and lack of repair,the traditional houses in the old city have suffered some destruction.But the old city of Chaozhou is still has a large amount of Ming and Qing Dynasties traditional houses remain,this is very rare.Considering about the feasibility of transformation and the necessity of protection,this paper will discuss the transformation strategy of the Chaozhou traditional houses that is located in old city.Through the analysis of the preservation and transformation status of local traditional houses,and learning from the successful experience of the similar cases,to explore some transformation strategies that can combine Chaozhou traditional culture and modern life. |
