China is a large country in machine installed of wind turbines and production of wind power generation equipment,but some of the key components of wind turbines in China is still dependent on imports,the coupling is one of them.As an important component of the wind power transmission system,the coupling is not only requires the function of power transmission,but also have overload protection.The torque limiter is the key components of the wind power coupling with overload protection,when the load exceeds the rated loads,it slips automatically to realize the overload protection of wind turbines.In order to realize the localization of the wind power coupling and break through the technical difficulties of the torque limiter,the research and development conditions must be constructed.This paper is aimed at developing a strength-testing,fatigue-testing,slip torque calibrating of an integrated test bench of torque limiter,and the maximal slip torque of which is 100 kN.m.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)Introduced the structure features and working principle of the torque limiter.Based on the working parameters requirements of the wind turbines,the torque calibrating of the torque limiter is designed through static experiment.Through comparison,it was decided that the loading type is using the oscillating hydraulic cylinder as the power source and to use the torque sensor to measure the torque.(2)Designed the mechanical system of the test bench,the loading mechanism,the fixture of torque limiter and the load mechanism which using the backstop as the main part.Through analyzing and calculating,the model and specification of the key components were determined.Built a 3D modeling of the mechanical system of the test bench and conducted finite element analysis of important components by using Workbench software.(3)Designed a hydraulic control system to control the input of loading torque.In order to meet the needs of the large flow in fast slipping process,the hydraulic system used the accumulator as the main source of oil and the pump as auxiliary oil source,and used the reversing system that consisted of cartridge valve and three position four way reversing valve to control the positive and negative rotation of the swing cylinder.The parameters of the hydraulic calculation system were determined by calculating,and the selection of hydraulic components was completed.(4)Built and simulated the model of the hydraulic system by AMESim software.The simulation results showed that the hydraulic system can meet the requirements of loading time,and verified that the accumulator volume is the main factor affecting the slip time and unloading time of the torque limiter,the displacement of pump is little effect on the system,the design of using the accumulator as the main source of oil of the hydraulic system is reasonable.
